Biggest voter turnout in midterm history in Washington

More Washington voters participated in the 2018 general election Nov. 6 than in any other Washington state midterm, with over 3 million ballots cast.
Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman announced Tuesday, Dec. 4, that all results from the Nov. 6 election were certified, and that the election had a record turnout with 3,133,488 ballots being counted. Of all ballots mailed to registered voters, 71.83 percent statewide were submitted, just short of the 1970 midterm election, which saw 71.85 percent of voters participate.
