Knights edge Wolfpack to claim third straight league title | Swimming

Kamiak’s Elli Straume fininished first in the 200 and 500 freestyles.

Kamiak clinched its third straight Wesco South girls swimming and diving championship with a victory over archrival Jackson.

Junior Elli Straume won the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyles and swam on the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays to lead the Knights to a 100-86 victory over the Timberwolves Thursday, Oct. 18, at Kamiak High School.

Straume, who already had state qualifying in both events, clocked in with two more state cuts (1:55.59 in the 200 freestyle and 5:05.19 in the 500 freestyle).
