Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo’s Tim Taylor grilling up some BBQ salmon at last year’s Lighthouse Festival. The salmon bake will be back at this year’s festival.

Nineteen seniors from Kamiak, Mariner, ACES, and the Sno-Isle Tech Center received scholarships from the Mukilteo Kiwanis Foundation in 2018.

Each year the club awards a large number of scholarships to the Mukilteo High Schools.

This year the club awarded the Al Dantico Memorial Scholarship to Haley Lee and Andrew Baek of Kamiak High School.

Dantico was a very dedicated charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo who passed away a year ago. A special scholarship was created in his memory to honor his commitment to the community and the Mukilteo Kiwanis Club.

The two community service-minded students were selected and each received a scholarship for $1,500.

The Mukilteo Kiwanis Foundation also awarded $1,000 each to the following students.

Aces High School

McKenzie Kit Wright

The Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo meets at the Harbor Pointe Golf Club at 7:30 am on Wednesday mornings. The last Friday of the month the club meets at Spiro’s Pizza and Pasta at 6:30 pm.
