Port of Edmonds celebrates 70 years Aug. 4

August 2, 2018

The Port of Edmonds is celebrating its 70th anniversary with an event for the community 11 a.m. to 3 pm. Saturday, Aug. 4.

All ages are welcome down at the Public Plaza at the marina (located behind Anthony’s Homeport restaurant) for live music and free food.

Many activities will be happening throughout the celebration. Washington State Parks will have its safety vessel WATER onsite for kids to explore.

Longtime Port partner Annie Crawley and her youth scuba diving team will be conducting another marina cleanup dive during the event.

Bobo’s Rods & Customs is helping the Port commemorate this vintage anniversary with a collection of classic cars on display.

Its retro-themed Edmonds showroom is a favorite hangout among Port boaters.

A 1960 Riva Super Florida powerboat will also be on display.

Local students will be providing live music throughout the afternoon and Port of Edmonds staff will be grilling up hot dogs.

You can also meet Port Commissioners and grab a free commemorative T-shirt.
