Body found off Beverly Park Road

Police presence off of Beverly Park Road at Pacific Place where a male dead body was found. Pacific Place has been closed since morning while officers conduct their investigation.

A dead body has been found off of Beverly Park Road.

The Mukilteo Police Department confirmed this on social media just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3.

In the tweet, MPD says a male body was discovered at Beverly Park Road and Pacific Place and that officers are on the scene conducting a death investigation.

Officers have been on-scene since Tuesday morning, and Pacific Place was still closed off as of 4 p.m. Traffic on Beverly Park Road has not been affected.

This is an ongoing investigation, and this story will be updated as more information becomes available.

UPDATE: July 5

The following is a statement from the Mukilteo Police Department's Public Information Officer Myron Travis:

"On July 3, at 10:19 a.m., Mukilteo Police Officers responded to Beverly Park Rd. and Pacific Place where a deceased male was discovered.

Officers isolated and contained the location and in partnership with the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab a Death Investigation began at the scene.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is in possession of the body and will release information after the examination, identification, and next of kin notification have been completed. The investigation is ongoing at this time."

Some of the police presence off of Pacific Place on Beverly Park Road. Officers have been on-scene since Tuesday morning.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office also released a brief media statement.

"Information on the deceased individual found off of Beverly Park Road and Pacific Place in Mukilteo, WA on July 3, 2018, will be released after examination, identification and next of kin notification have been completed."

In the statement, they say the incident is unrelated to human tissue found in downtown Everett on July 2.
