40th Easter Egg Hunt a great success

 

The calm before the storm. Children in the 7 to 10 age group were chomping at the bit to hunt for Easter eggs.

Mukilteo celebrated one of its oldest traditions Saturday when the annual Easter Egg Hunt took place for the 40th time.

The fields at Mukilteo Elementary and Olympic View Middle School were covered with brightly colored plastic eggs just ripe for the picking.

The annual event was organized into three different age groups: children 2 years old and younger, children aged 3 to 6, and children 7 to 10.

According to Jim Mewbourn, president of the Mukilteo Firefighters Union, the eggs were snatched up essentially in the blink of an eye.
