MaidPro goes the extra mile, customizes service for top-notch cleaning

February 15, 2018

Susie, a graduate of the MaidPro University Training Program, brings those skills to every home or office she cleans for MaidPro in Edmonds.

One of life’s great joys is having a clean home. But whether you’re a busy family going every direction at once or a retiree who has trouble keeping up with the chores, it’s no surprise that your home doesn’t always meet your own high standards.

That’s why MaidPro was launched, just for you. That’s not an exaggeration. Since the company was founded in 1991, one of their main goals – besides, of course, providing top-notch cleanings – was to customize their service to meet each client’s particular needs.

Gabby and Victor Lopez, who opened their Edmonds MaidPro franchise in 2016, strongly believe in that personal attention to ensure their cleaning service is second to none, at a budget each client can afford.

“We understand that everybody has a different budget, and we’re willing to work with you,” Victor said. “A lot of people think cleaning services cost too much, but that’s not necessarily so. We have flexibility.”

While other cleaning services typically offer limited options – a take it or leave it menu – MaidPro’s Edmonds team will customize its services for every client.

You can schedule cleanings weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or even one time or occasionally. You can ask them to focus on certain rooms, like the kitchen and bathroom, or request infrequent jobs, like the windows or inside the refrigerator. At MaidPro, it’s all about what you want.

“It’s not only wealthy people who should enjoy living in a clean house,” Victor said. An eight-year combat veteran with the U.S. Marine Corps, he knows well the importance of service, and has brought the lessons he learned to the private sector.

Gabby already had more than a decade of experience under her belt when she and her husband decided to join MaidPro. They wanted the advantages of marketing, branding, ongoing training, state-of-the-art operational software and other perks that have helped them grow.

They picked well, too. Franchise Business Review, a leading market research firm, just named MaidPro #1 in low-cost maid service and #1 in franchisee satisfaction. In 2015, Forbes named the company #2 in best franchises to buy.

MaidPro also partners with Procter and Gamble so that they can use top cleaning – and environmentally friendly – products.

Gabby and Victor understand that allowing strangers into your home isn’t easy. That’s why all of their team members are licensed and bonded. They undergo background checks for criminal records, U.S. citizenship and driving records as well. “If we wouldn’t allow them in our own home, we wouldn’t have them working for us,” Victor said.

Employees also undergo rigorous training through the MaidPro University Training Program.

MaidPro’s Edmonds team is happy to come to your home to do a free estimate and fully understand what you want. There will be no surprises.

“We’re very transparent,” Victor said. “We want to make sure we understand their needs, so we try to learn everything about them, and then customize our service so it’s theirs.”

Once they go to work for a client, the team adheres to MaidPro’s exclusive, 49-point checklist, ensuring your home is cleaned to the highest standards.

They also keep in regular contact with their clients, following up with surveys after every cleaning, and responding within 24 hours should a client have any concerns.

Not surprisingly, they also develop friendships with their clients. Older homeowners who live alone, for example, look forward to those regular visits, and the MaidPro team often steps up to assist a client in ways other than housecleaning.

Gabby particularly enjoys those friendships. “I really have a connection with them,” she said of her clients. For example, “I have a client who wanted us to put a different set of sheets on her bed, but she couldn’t find them. So we just gave her a new set.”

Going the extra mile is part of the service, and is part of the culture at MaidPro as well. Besides helping out clients in personal ways, they are heavily engaged in philanthropic endeavors, too, Victor and Gabby sponsor two orphanages – one in Peru, another in Panama – and travel to each at least once a year to help out.

But Edmonds and the rest of south Snohomish County are where their hearts are. They grew up in Edmonds, know the area well, and love being part of the tight-knit community.

Besides homes, they also clean condominium and apartment complexes, offices and other businesses. Again, they customize their services to meet each client’s needs and budget.
