Free mini dental exams at Imagine’s Tooth-Apolooza

February 14, 2018

Imagine Children’s Museum is hosting a free admission night and its Tooth-Apolooza on Friday, Feb. 16 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

During the free admission night, Imagine Children’s Museum is hosting its 10th annual Tooth-Apolooza program in celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month. Local pediatric dentists will be offering free mini dental exams for children from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Admission is free starting at 5:30 p.m.

Various activity stations include “Plaque Buster!” where children can practice brushing, along with “Toothpaste – Your Teeth’s Superhero,” a hands-on activity showing how sugar sticks to enamel and how difficult it is to remove from teeth.

The Museum’s own Dr. Science will bring his tooth decay experiment along with Sugar Shocker, Jumbo Flossing, Energy Drinks and your Teeth and Plaque Buster – Elephant Toothpaste to Tooth-Apolooza from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Thanks to the R.S.V.P. (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) of Snohomish County, the Museum will also be giving out over 3,000 dental health kits, assembled by the volunteers.

Each dental health kit contains a toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss.

Sponsors for Tooth-Apolooza include Snohomish County Dental Society, Snohomish County Dental Foundation, and Arcora Foundation.

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month and Imagine Children’s Museum is teaching kids about dental hygiene.

This year’s national campaign slogan is “Brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste and clean between your teeth for a healthy smile.”

The Art Studio is offering dental-themed art projects each Friday in February, including poster puzzles, a daily brush reminder and a hippo floss buddy.

Regular $10.70 Museum admission applies.
