Letter: Is Mukilteo prepared?

At a recent neighborhood wine tasting group someone said, “Mukilteo police have an easy job.”

On the contrary, I see the job of the Mukilteo police becoming more difficult than ever.

Everett, with its drug crisis and homeless epidemic, will encroach on our city with transient crimes.

The recent shooting/homicide at a local bar in Lynnwood heightened my concerns of violence being ever so close to us.

The panhandling in the parking lot at QFC has become a regular occurrence. Mukilteo police and its citizens need to act proactively to keep our community safe.
