Letter: Vote yes on school ballot measures

On Feb. 13, voters will consider two levies, one for educational programs and one for technology capital projects in the Mukilteo School District.

These levies provide money for programs and services that are not funded by the state. The educational programs levy replaces a four-year levy that was approved by voters in 2014 and that will expire at the end of 2018.

In 2017, taxpayers in the Mukilteo School District paid a total tax rate of $3.74 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for all school district taxes. If both levies are approved on Feb. 13, that total tax rate will drop to $2.52 per...
