Dad passed away peacefully on Aug. 11, 2017. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1934. As a young man, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served honorably from 1954 to 1957. He went on to a career in law-enforcement with the Mount Lebanon Pennsylvania Police Department and was a 26-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department. In his free time, he enjoyed his family, which includes six children, 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Dad loved to hike, travel and play cards. He was described as “larger than life” by his friends. He is survived by brother Richard and sister Joan, and his children: Blase, Greg, Deidre, Michael, Lea and Gavin, and their respective families. He will be missed.
