Orchestra to perform jazz pieces at final concert

For its final concert of the 2016-17 season, the Mukilteo Community Orchestra will perform “Music From the Age of Jazz,” featuring pieces from the 20th century by composers from France, Italy, Spain and Russia.

The free concert is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at the Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Avenue in Mukilteo.

Featured pieces include: Maurice Ravel’s Bolero; Ottorino Respighi’s Fountains of Rome; Spanish Dance #1 from the Opera La Vida Breve by Manuel De Falla; and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Suite for Variety Orchestra No. 1.
