Peggy Sue (Harrison) Parker: 1960 - 2017

Posted

Peggy Sue Parker (née Harrison) of Mukilteo, Washington – servant and daughter of the LORD – went to be with Christ and the saints Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 after a long struggle with cancer. She passed away surrounded by family.

Peggy was born Dec. 9, 1960. She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1979 and, in the same year, married David Parker, who would be her doting husband for 37 years until she died. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Peggy attended Mukilteo Presbyterian Church. She taught children's church and Sunday school at many of her previous churches and led many children, including her own, to the LORD through Child Evangelism Fellowship's Good News Clubs and Five-Day Clubs. Peggy supported many charities and loved helping the area's homeless directly. Peggy loved the beauty of God's creation and spent her time helping Him make it more beautiful by writing poetry and songs, painting, decorating her home and arranging flowers from her unusually abundant garden.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving mother Esther Harrison (d. 1992) and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. She is survived by her husband, David Parker, daughter Sueanne Parker, son Jotham Parker, sister Bernadine Rogstad, niece Lisa Pittman, niece Ilia Kirby, father John Harrison, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Donations in Peggy's name can be made to the Assistance League of Everett, 5107 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98203. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham, Washington with a reception to follow at Moles Farewell Tributes.
