Networking Group

10:30-11:30 a.m. Want to meet new business owners in Mukilteo? Join the Chamber of Commerce’s weekly Wednesday morning networking group at the Chamber Office. Teen Quiet Time

3-5 p.m. A safe, quiet environment for middle school and high school students. Take some time to relax, unwind and support each other every Wednesday after school. Mycological Society

7:30 p.m. The Snohomish County Mycological Society November meeting will feature speaker Larry Millman. His speech is titled “A Painless Introduction to Polypores.” As a mycologist, Millman has studied fungi all over the world, but especially in his own backyard of New England. Republican Women’s Club

11 a.m. The Snohomish County Republican Women's Club November meeting will cover self-defense. Would you know how to handle yourself in a threatening situation? Learn some simple self defense tactics and how to be aware of your surroundings. There will also be a basic gun safety demonstration, officer nominations for the 2017-18 term and a review of the national election results. Lunch is optional and is served at noon. The cost is $15. Foundation Breakfast

7:30 a.m. The Mukilteo Schools Foundation is hosting its 24th annual breakfast at the Future of Flight. Nancy Horan will be the featured speaker. Horan is the New York Times bestselling author of “Loving Frank” (2007). She is also the author of “Under the Wide and Starry Sky” (2014). Tickets are $50 each or $375 for a table of eight. Forget-Me-Not

10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Disabled American Veterans will be collecting Forget-Me-Not Day contributions to help local disabled veterans at the Mukilteo QFC on Nov. 11, 12 and 13. Write Now: Polishing Your Manuscript

Meaningful Movies

7 p.m. Sno-King Meaningful Movies presents "Consumerism and the Limits to the Imagination.” Filmmaker Justin Lewis makes a compelling case that consumer capitalism can no longer deliver on its promises of happiness, and is unsustainable. He explores how the modern economy and culture make it difficult to envision other ways of living. Refreshments will be served. Folk Dance Workshop

Defensive Driving

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The AAA Driver Improvement Program is offering its refresher course on defensive driving skills. Receive practical guidance for traffic accident prevention, enhances driver safety and confidence.
