August 3, 2016

Canyon Creek Church in Mill Creek is hosting J-High Day for middle school students on Saturday, Aug. 20.

The Collective Youth event, scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., features rock climbing walls, capture the flag, a dance party with a DJ, a paint war, as well as Games on Wheels – a trailer filled with couches, flatscreen TVs and video games.

There will also be an all you can eat cereal bar for breakfast, a Subway station of sandwiches for lunch and a nacho bar with homemade-style nachos for dinner. Other snacks and drinks will be also be provided throughout the day.

J-High Day is one of many Collective Youth ministries offered through Canyon Creek Church. This is the second time the church has dedicated an entire day of fun to middle schoolers in sixth through eighth grade.

“This day is jam-packed and open to all churches, community members and junior high-aged students,” said Tony Mattar, the youth pastor at the church. “We cannot wait to see you there.”

Admission is free. Students are asked to bring a white T-shirt that they are willing to get dirty.

The church is at 14616 35th Ave. SE in Mill Creek. For more information, call Tony Mattar at 425-772-581.
