When will the Trust of God, latent in the reality of man, emerge? (Part 8) | Worship

Read parts 1-7 of the nine-part “When will the Trust of God, latent in the reality of man, emerge?” series at –Ed.

Stevie Wonder has always worn his love for our God on his sleeve. For his perfect 1974 album, he wrote: "They say that heaven is 10 zillion light years away, but if there is a God, we need Him now. 'Where is your God?' That's what my friends ask me."

Maybe one of Stevie's friends thinks: "Hey! I was cruelly blindsided, thrust into a world of pain, without consent or a chat! It seems to me that in all fairness, your God should be awarded minus five points, for overall unprovoked blindsiding.

"Conversely, I should then be awarded a positive five points, for years of having nobly survived this stack of abuse. Plus, I nobly took a kind step toward my tormentor! One time, I investigated about God! I didn't find anything that makes sense to me, but, in all fairness, I should be awarded additional positive nobility points. Let's say, two more points.

"So, please Stevie, you gotta do the math! I am ahead of God by 12 points, and still hurting badly! Where is your God?"

On the day that I first pondered this song, I was at the beginnings of all of my spiritual discoveries, having recently made the decision to try again to see if I might (finally, please) seek diligently enough to unearth why so many billions of otherwise normal people loved God so very deeply.

I found Stevie's answer to "Where is God?" to be enigmatic. Confounding.

To his friends, he responded: "Where is my God? I say it's taken Him so long 'cause we've got so far to come."

Is this answer clear to you at first blush? Not me! It took a while.

Stevie has spotted the correct math, and he’s saying that it is our turn to take the next step, our turn to make a properly responsive motion of substance toward fostering a much earlier reunion with God.

It maybe is as if our Creator is saying: "I too have an opinion about what fair play is. Please consider looking at the math from an alternative perspective: I have bountifully shed My favor upon thee.”

“I have sent all that you need to live wonderfully. The cloudy language is to discourage those who are ‘just peeking.’ Dabblers will be awarded no fairy dust.

“We both know that you have heard My Prophets calling you. You have comprehended Their singular Call of ‘Please approach Me and receive God!’

“Stevie followed directions and found Me. You would find what enchants him were you to seek it with resolve.

“So I get lots of points.

“True respite is yours, but some assembly required.”

"Where am I? I am right here, now, in full battle array. Waiting, as it is your turn.

"It is simple. Respond to that “Call." I am way ahead on points. You’ve got next. Follow The Guidance, and time will reveal. Over and out.”

Grasping God’s logic occurs after earnest study and application of His lessons. This stops most.

Take a step of faith! It's easy! Follow the lessons for a couple months. A stance of "please reveal to me!" is most efficient. If your search project is dead sincere, a mere 30 days will illumine enough to raise your eyebrows.

So, where is God? The answer now from the Writings of Bahá’u'lláh ("The Glory of God”/1817-1893), as He reveals some more about the Prophets of God (all emphasis mine):

"These Essences of Detachment, these resplendent Realities are the channels of God's all-pervasive grace."

There. Result. You completing the circle by proactively pairing up with the Channel of your choice reveals where God is.

So, it is your turn. Got faith??

Yeah, first faith has its bungee-cord-jump moments. But each of the Prophets were specifically commissioned by God to see specifically you strongly through these exact moments!

To that point, from Bahá’u'lláh: ”Led by the light of unfading guidance, and invested with supreme sovereignty, They are commissioned to use the inspiration of Their words, the effusions of Their infallible grace and the sanctifying breeze of Their Revelation for the cleansing of every longing heart and receptive spirit from the dross and dust of earthly cares and limitations.”
