Thrift shop serving victims of domestic abuse moves

When victims of domestic violence leave home to escape abuse, many times they have left all of their belongings behind. Sometimes all they have are literally the clothes on their backs.
Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County runs a thrift store so that victims and their children can shop for free for items they need to start over.
“Our clients receive a voucher to shop at the store for whatever items they need at no charge,” said Debra Bordsen, deputy director of development for DVS. “They are treated like any other customer.”
