Biscotti shop now open in Old Town | Biz brief

Northwest Biscotti had its grand opening last week at 700 3rd St. Ste. E in Mukilteo.

A biscotti shop boasting more than 19 flavors has opened in Old Town.

Northwest Biscotti celebrated its grand opening on July 16 at 700 3rd St. Ste. E in Mukilteo. The owners are Frances and Jason Turner.

Northwest Biscotti has been a favorite of locals for some time: The Turners sell their baked Italian treats at the Mukilteo Farmers Market and Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival.

The shop offers a variety of flavors of hand-crafted biscotti, including tuxedo, cranberry white chocolate, eggnog white chocolate, creamsicle and anise walnut.

Northwest Biscotti was founded in 2004. After 12 years of serving the Puget Sound region, the Turners now have their own retail store that sells baked goods and gifts.

“Northwest Biscotti has come a long way from its early stages in our kitchen,” according to its website.

“When Frances first started out, her passion for baking drove her to experiment with different cookie recipes and finally developing her own unique recipe and twist of her favorite Italian treat. Year after year, the demand for her biscotti grew.”

The shop, with the tag line “Not your grandma’s hard biscotti,” replaces the Leely's Day Spa & Wine.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
