Thanks for all the Amazing Race support | Letter

Editor, The Beacon:

Next Generation: Mukilteo (the young professionals branch of the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce) held its flagship event, the Amazing Race Mukilteo, on July 16 ["Mayor's team wins Mukilteo's Amazing Race," page 2, July 20].

Twenty-seven teams signed up to compete in six challenges ranging from rock wall climbing, putting on the green, a historical quiz at the lighthouse, crafting airplanes and flying them at a flight museum, running through a portion of Japanese Gulch and creative pie making at a local bakery.

What a successful day! We could not have done it without the support of so many.

Thank you to our sponsors: Traxx Indoor Racing, Sydney Bakery & Wine Bar, Institute of Flight, Harbour Pointe Golf Club, Mukilteo Historical Society and Japanese Gulch Group.

Many thanks to Diedrich Espresso, Diamond Knot Craft Brewing and Jersey Mike’s Subs for providing bites and beverages.

A huge thank you to our NGM Committee for all its input and support through the entire process: Wade and Katherine Becher (Wicked Wraps), Doug Miller (Edward Jones), Lindsay Rucker (The View From Harbour Pointe), Emma Leedy (Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce), Mike Talkington (Talk Media), Sara Bruestle (Mukilteo Beacon) and Ross Gardner (Law Office of Ross Gardner).

We can’t wait for next year!

Julie Martin, President & CEO, and

Kim Voetberg, Marketing Director,

Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce
