Drive at QFC benefits victims of Casino Road fire

The WA-GRO Foundation is collecting donations of cash, food, clothing and furniture for the victims of the Casino Road fire. Most recently, the foundation held a donation drive at the Mukilteo QFC on Jan. 16.

A Mukilteo-based foundation has launched an effort to help those who lost their homes in the Casino Road fire on New Year's Eve.

The WA-GRO Foundation hosted a Casino Road Fire Relief Drive on Jan. 16 at the Mukilteo QFC to benefit residents who are now homeless after the three-alarm fire at The Bluffs on Evergreen apartment complex.

Founders Julieta Altamirano-Crosby and Patrick Crosby collected donations of cash, food, clothing and furniture while at the QFC, which they have delivered to the victims, many of whom are Mukilteo School District families.
