Association wants to build senior center in gulch

Christine Cook, Stan Sussman, Gerry Friend, Barbara Williams, Ann DesJardien, Dode Carlson and Darlene Conklé gather at the potential site for a new senior center in the Japanese Gulch. The Mukilteo Seniors Association wants to build on the old Grange Hall site.

The Mukilteo Seniors Association is a growing organization in need of a home.

Mukilteo’s seniors have been without a place to call their own since the old Rosehill Community Center was demolished.

The association is working to provide the senior population with a a self-sustaining gathering place near the Mukilteo Community Garden and the Japanese Gulch trailhead.

This was the site of the old Grange Hall where some folks who grew up in Mukilteo remember going to dances and other community gatherings.
