Kamiak holds off Mount Vernon | Girls prep soccer

The Kamiak girls soccer team held on for a win over Mount Vernon on Tuesday, Oct. 21, beating the Bulldogs 2-1.

Alexie Morris scored the first goal of the match in the 58th minute, before Madeline Sisk tied the game for Mount Vernon a few minutes later. The game remained 1-1 until the 65th minute, when Tylor Adcock scored off a penalty kick, lifting the Knights to the win.

It was Kamiak's seventh straight win, tying the team for second place with Snohomish with an 8-3 league and 8-5 overall.

The Knights will travel to play Cascade on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
