Mukilteo council amends first-quarter budget | City brief


This quarter, the city had $40,000 in unexpected expenses.

The City Council has amended the 2014 budget to add $151,000 in new expenditures, offset by $111,500 in added revenues, according to city staff. About $5,000 of that will be paid for out of the general fund.

With these amendments, it is not yet known if there is a gap between revenues and expenditures in the general fund, staff said. The 2014 budget had closed the gap.

No second-quarter budget amendment was made this year, due to staff shortages.
