School district to receive $400,000 energy grant

The Mukilteo School District was recently awarded a $400,000 grant from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction for school facility energy cost savings improvements.

The total cost of the energy project – with improvements to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, controls and water in Mukilteo schools – is an estimated $1.3 million, according to the OSPI website.

Forty-three school districts across the state were collectively awarded $20.9 million in energy operational cost savings grants. The OSPI made the announcement April 2.
