Middle school honors Students of the Month

February’s theme for Student of the Month at Harbour Pointe Middle School was “open-minded,” an attribute from the International Baccalaureate Profile.

Open-minded learners understand and appreciate their own cultures and personal histories, and are open to the perspectives, values, and traditions of other individuals and communities. They are accustomed to seeking and evaluating a range of points of view, and are willing to grow from the experience.

Harbour Pointe Middle School selected the following students who best demonstrated these qualities:

6th grade: Grace Kim, Ashley Limon, James Hahn,

Jacob Smithies

7th grade: Alan Fuller, Alondra Tacuyan, Sajhra Williams, Lynn Siebert, Charlie Sonmore

8th grade: Stormie Cochran, Natalie Durbin,

Tristen Hansen, Augustin Mallinson

March’s theme for Student of the Month at Harbour Pointe Middle School was “caring,” an attribute from the International Baccalaureate Profile.

Caring learners show empathy, compassion, and respect towards the needs and feelings of others. They have a personal commitment to service, and act to make a positive difference to the lives of others and to the environment.

Harbour Pointe Middle School selected the following students who best demonstrated these qualities:

6th grade: Dillon Kamin, Greg Marshall,

Allison Skeffington, Emily Trudgeon

7th grade: Olivia Bianco, Mitchell Hovis, Ben Israel,

Daniel Munn, Katie Travia

8th grade: Margaret Arneson, Sam Cha, Ines Gandal,

Hugo Lam
