Where'd he go? Old Town's Wiener Man to be restored

Passersby in Old Town may have wondered where Wiener Man has gone this past week.

The wood sculpture, known as Wiener Man, which usually stands on the corner of 4th and Mukilteo Speedway, is being restored. Wiener Man is scheduled to return to his post this week.

The big-bellied Wiener Man, with a gourmet hot dog in hand, has been bringing smiles to residents, commuters and tourists for 15 years. His companion, Wiener Dog, comically begs at his feet.

The big weenie was carved for Gary Smith, the original owner of Neener Neener Weiner, the hot dog restaurant that used to be at 315 Lincoln...
