Congratulations Kamiak April Students of the Month

Mukilteo resident earns scholarship from WWU
Western Washington University student Calvin Helker, son of Scott and Lisa Helker of Mukilteo, received a $678 Bernard L. Boylan Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year.
The following students from Mukilteo were recently named to their university or college’s Dean’s List or Laureate Society for the fall semester of 2010. It is not a complete list of universities or colleges. Students on the Dean’s List or in the Laureate Society completed 12 or more credits with a grade point average of 3.5 (out of 4) or higher. The Whitworth University Laureate Society requires a 3.75.

Jake M. Sortor, son of Dana Sortor Babik and Bram Babik, of Mukilteo, and Jeffrey G. Sortor, received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy, located in Colorado Springs, Colo.

His teammates can always depend on Jason to set the bar and always do the right thing. He carries a 3.7 gpa. In the fall he will be continuing his studies at the University of Hawaii-Hilo. There he will also be a member of the baseball team. He is a credit and a outstanding member of our team.
