Of the students who competed, four placed for their second consecutive year.

Those students include Logan Alden for Technical Sales, who earned 1st place; Priyanka and Sharmeelee Bijlani for Sports and Entertainment, who also earned 1st place.

Rainey Rew, who also placed last year, competed with newcomers, Julia Johansson and Alexandra Young earning 1st place in Fashion Merchandising.

Haley Hanson impressed by taking 1st place in Retail Merchandising in her first year.

McKenzie Strickland and Margarette Bou kept the trend going by earning 1st place in their BECU Advertising Campaign.

Taking 2nd and giving Kamiak another win were Chelsey Reinkens and Kate Higman.

Coming home with 3rd place in Technical Sales was Jeremy Hadden.

The students are now preparing for state competition in March.

DECA club also is planning a recruiting fashion show in which different occupational classes will represent what their class is about through various outfits.

Using this fashion show as a medium, DECA hopes to attract more competitive students to join Marketing.
