Aug. 17

Suspicious Incident – 5000 block 94th St. SW
Officers responded to the above apartment regarding a possible burglary in progress.  The caller said that she heard a loud bang on the front door and then heard the doorknob being jiggled.  She got her seven year old daughter and went to the back bedroom and called 911.  Officers found nothing suspicious at the scene and the door was undamaged and secure.

Disturbance – 9000 block 46th Pl. W
What’s your return policy?
Someone was trying to return a pet purchased from a cat breeder.  The breeder’s husband was the only one home, and he refused to accept the animal back.  Both parties were advised that the matter was civil and would need to be tried in a civil court.  

Attempted Theft – 5100 block 92nd St. SW
On Aug. 14, a neighbor stopped two Hispanic men from stealing tires out of the back of his truck. The incident is under investigation.

Noise Complaint – 5000 block Graham Way
A resident complained about 10 or more juveniles at a nearby apartment screaming and yelling and playing.  They appeared to be at a daycare and unsupervised.

Theft – 11700 block SR-525
A victim’s purse was stolen from the baby stroller while she was placing her child in the car.

Phone Harassment – 3900 block Harbour Pointe Blvd. SW
A resident had received a phone call from his girlfriend’s ex-husband cussing and calling him “bad words.”  The man was advised to obtain a Restraining/Anti-Harassment Order.

Suspicious–10900 block SR-525                    
A caller reported a subject had accidentally broken a 12-pack of beer and would not pay for it.  The subject left in a red pickup.  It was determined to be a civil matter.  The subject and vehicle were GOA.
                                             
Juvenile Problem–12600 block SR-525                
A resident reported two juveniles, who may have been drinking, threw a beer can down in the parking lot and were last seen running south.  

Theft/Assault/Robbery–11700 SR-525
Nice underwear…                
A resident reported a white male teenager took her unattended bicycle from in front of the above location. They recovered her bicycle unattended behind the store.  The suspect then came out of the store and rode off on the friend’s bicycle.  They gave chase and recovered the bicycle, but when they confronted the suspect and told him to wait for the police, he assaulted both of them and again rode off.  He was last seen east on Russell Way wearing only striped underwear, as they had pulled his pants off him before he fled.  The incident is under investigation.

Unwanted Subject – 8300 block 53rd Ave. W                 
A resident reported waking up and finding his neighbor had broken into his apartment through a kitchen window and was still there.  Both subjects had been drinking.  Subsequent investigation determined that the caller is ill, and the neighbor has been helping him and keeping an eye on him due to his medical condition.  The neighbor was supposed to check on him, and when the caller didn’t leave the door unlocked for her, she climbed through the kitchen window because she was concerned.  The Mukilteo Fire Department was summoned to evaluate the caller’s medical condition, and he refused treatment.  Both parties agreed to leave each other alone.  

Disturbance – 710 Front St.                    
A caller reported a male outside the business without a shirt and screaming.  The subject was talking on a cell phone about someone disrespecting him.  Officers contacted two subjects who said they had a discussion over the phone with a third party (business associate) who had walked off a jobsite earlier.

Possession Marijuana – 5200 block 84th St. SW            
A resident reported a vehicle was parked in the complex and the occupants were smoking narcotics.  Officers contacted several subjects and noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana and saw marijuana in plain sight.  A consent search of the vehicle and a backpack belonging to a subject revealed packaging material, scales and a small amount of suspected marijuana, which the subject admitted belonged to him.  A report will be forwarded to the prosecutor requesting charges of possession of 40 grams or less of marijuana on him.  The subject was released to his parents.

Aug. 18

Cyberstalking – 12300 block Cyrus Way        
A resident reported receiving e-mail containing threats and vulgar language.  There are no known suspects at this time.  The case is under investigation.

Suspicious –10200 block 64th Pl. West        
A resident reported receiving a phone call requesting she send money to an offshore site in Jamaica.  No money was sent.

Follow-Up/Arrest – 12700 block SR-525                    
A resident reported seeing two subjects panhandling at the above location that she believed stole her wallet yesterday as reported under this case number.  The subjects got on a Community Transit bus at the location, but were located and detained a short time later by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office transit deputies near 164th St SW and 36th Ave. W.  The two subjects denied any involvement in the theft, but the victim positively identified the two subjects as the ones she suspected of stealing her wallet the day before.  Search incident to arrest revealed both subjects to be in possession of drug paraphernalia (heroin kits).  Each subject was cited for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia and then released. According to the victim, these subjects have recently been aggressively panhandling in town.

Juvenile Problem – 5000 block Graham Way                        
An officer was dispatched to a report of juveniles drinking alcoholic beverages in the greenbelt between the complainant’s condo and the condos to the west.  The officer checked the area, but the subjects were GOA.

Follow-Up – 13300 block 46th Pl. W.                        
A resident requested a call from an officer regarding a case from Aug. 15.  He said that his sister-in-law had received a message from the jail saying that her husband was being released.  He said that his family was afraid the husband would return to the residence and cause a disturbance.  He asked that an officer check with the jail to confirm if the subject was being released.  The jail confirmed the subject was about to be released and that no charges had been filed against him.  The officer provided the caller with personal safety suggestions and information on how to go about requesting a protection order.

Parking Complaint – Lighthouse Park                        
An officer was dispatched to a complaint that there was a vehicle parked in an exit lane so as to block boat trailers from being able to exit.  The officer issued the vehicle a parking infraction and issued seven other parking infractions (and several verbal warnings) for vehicles without trailers improperly parked in the boat trailer only parking area.  The officer continued issuing citations until she was dispatched to a higher priority call.

Traffic Complaint – 84th St. SW/SR-525                    
The officer was dispatched to a report from an Onstar subscriber of an erratically driven white Toyota “Celica,” last seen northbound from the location.  The officer did not locate the vehicle.  

Narcotics Complaint – 8400 block SR-525                    
Officers were dispatched to a report from a resident that his wife had witnessed a drug deal among some teenagers in the above location’s parking lot five minutes earlier.  The officers located several teenagers inside the business that matched the provided descriptions.  The subjects denied any drug dealing.  They said they had been shaking hands out on the street earlier with their friend.  No evidence of any drug dealing was located but the juveniles were warned and their parents notified of the report.

Threats – 4800 block Pointes Drive                            
An officer was dispatched to a report that the complainant’s son was threatened 45 minutes earlier while riding on a bus in Mukilteo.  The case is under investigation.

Patrol Information – 11700 SR-525                        
Dispatch advised of a report forwarded from SNOPAC that the complainant’s daughter’s stolen vehicle had possibly been seen 15 minutes earlier traveling southbound.  The stolen vehicle is reportedly a tan 1995 Jeep Cherokee (unknown license plate number when reported stolen) that the complainant reportedly saw displaying a Delaware license.   The complainant reportedly thought the license plates might have been switched.  

Malicious Mischief – 6000 block Ironwood Lane                    
Officers were dispatched to a report of some juveniles associated with a gold 4-door that were egging vehicles in the area.  Several vehicles matching the description were located in the area and stopped for investigation, but none was confirmed to be involved.  Egged vehicles were located at numerous locations throughout the Harbour Pointe area.  Officers tried contacting each of the vehicle’s owners.  Some were located, some were not.

DUI-Arrest – 4800 block 76th St. SW                        
An officer was dispatched to the above location for a complaint about a very loud stereo coming from a black car in the parking lot.  Upon arrival, the officer saw a black car speeding through the complex and being driven very erratically as it maneuvered into a parking space.  The officer arrested the driver for driving under the influence.  He subsequently provided blood alcohol content samples of .220 and .231.  He was cited and released.

Aug. 19

Malicious Mischief – 5900 block 111th Pl. SW    
A man reported that sometime during the previous night his car was egged.  When the officer arrived, the vehicle was no longer on scene.  The man also reported his other car was egged about two weeks prior.

Traffic Complaint –11700 block SR-525            
A woman reported that a female in a black Jeep was racing through the parking lot and almost hit her.  She did not have the correct license plate, and the Jeep was not located.

Suspicious – 7700 block 44th Ave. W    
Officers responded to a burglary in progress.  The caller reported that the homeowner’s son was at the location and inside the house.  She said he does not have keys to the house and there is an order excluding him from the home.  Upon arrival, the front door was found unlocked.  Contact was made with the homeowner, who said that his son should not be inside and he would like us to search the house for him and arrest him, if located.  The house was searched and he was not inside.  The officer later re-contacted the homeowner who admitted that they had left the door unlocked because his son had called and said that he has no place to stay.  (The son has an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.)

Animal Complaint – SR-525/Paine Field Blvd.        
An officer was dispatched to the above area for a report of a deer in the roadway.  The officer found that the deer was grazing far away from the roadway and not in distress.

Theft – 10600 block 47th Pl. W                        
A resident came to the police department to report the theft of an iPod.  The incident is under investigation.

Suspicious – 12300 block Harbour Pointe Blvd.                    
A resident reported that one of his vehicle windows had been shattered.  A neighbor reported a stray golf ball had broken the window.

Suspicious – SR-525/Paine Field Blvd.                        
A resident reported that while driving down SR-525, a portion of his vehicle window shattered.  He did not know what caused the damage, and the officer did not locate anyone in the area who may have possibly thrown something at the vehicle.

Nuisance Complaint – 12700 block SR-525.                    
An officer was dispatched to an area check for a male panhandling in the area.  The subject was warned and agreed to leave.

Aug. 20

Suspicious Incident – 1500 block Maple Court
Congratulations, you spotted a scam…
A complainant received a call stating that she had won a prize.  She said that she had not entered any contest and hung up on the caller.  She was congratulated for taking the proper action in such an incident.

Vehicle Prowl/Theft – 4500 block 88th St. SW
A victim’s vehicle was entered overnight and several documents and files relating to a separation case were stolen.  The case is under investigation.

Suspicious Incident – 600 block Front St.
Officers responded to the area of Front St and SR-525 regarding a male with a large duffel bag smelling strongly of Marijuana.  The subject was described as wearing a shirt with Marijuana leaf on it.  Officers contacted the subject.  He did not smell nor did his duffel bag smell like Marijuana.  He said that he was headed to Seattle for  the Hemp Fest.

Theft – 5100 block 93rd Pl. SW
A resident reported that his son had a party at their home when he and his wife were out of town on June 24-26.  He has discovered a Remington 870, 12 gauge shotgun, a Ruger Model 77, 6 mm bolt action rifle and several pieces of jewelry missing.   The case is under investigation.

Property – Japanese Gulch
A passer-by found several old pieces of ID and credit cards at the above location.  The owner was contacted and said that he had lost them about three years ago.  The items were returned to the owner.

Suspicious Person – 92nd St. Park
Officer responded to the area near the restrooms at the above location regarding an apparent homeless woman who also appeared to have slept there overnight.  Officer contacted the subject, who said she was looking for a motel.  She was directed towards a selection of them.

Animal Problem – 8400 block Smugglers Cove Lane
Officers responded to the above address regarding a report of a large snake up against a wall of the residence.  Officers found a young Python or Boa Constrictor.  The officers captured the snake and placed it in a carrier.  The Reptile Rescue Service was advised and responded to take care of the snake.

2 Vehicle Collision – SR-525/Evergreen Dr.
There was a two-vehicle collision with significant damage but no injuries.

Commercial Burglary/Theft – USA Fuel Depot
Officers responded to the pier at the above location regarding a witness who saw two men using power tools to steal copper wiring from the site.  Officers contacted the two on the dock with the wire bundles.  They found a bag containing a portable saber-type saw, pliers and a wire cutter.  There were freshly cut conduits and a hole in the fence that was repaired just two hours earlier.  Both suspects were arrested.

Malicious Mischief – 5500 block Harbour Pointe Blvd.    
A resident reported between 4-5:30 p.m. someone threw two small containers of a fast-food sauce at her garage door.  There was no damage to the door.  The woman thinks it is related to her daughter (who is out of town) and requested area checks.


Party/Possession Marijuana – 9600 block 50th Pl. W            
A caller reported a loud party.  Officers contacted the resident who agreed to keep it down.  Officers also located two subjects smoking marijuana in a vehicle.  They were cited for possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana, and one of the subjects was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Suspicious – 5400 block Harbour Pointe Blvd.        
A resident reported receiving text messages from his ex-girlfriend saying she was staying with a male at the above listed address, and she was afraid he was going to rape her.  Officers contacted the ex-girlfriend, the male and his mother.  The claims were unfounded.

Aug. 21

Hit and Run Collision – 12300 block Cyrus Way
Officer responded to 12500 block 61st Ave W regarding a report of a hit and run collision on Cyrus Way the night before.  The reporting party said his car and another passed head-on on Cyrus Way and their mirrors struck each other’s.  Both cars left without stopping.

Property – 10500 47th Pl. W
A resident saw a wallet fly away from a car driven and occupied by two young men, somewhere west on Picnic Point Blvd., outside of the city.  He brought the wallet to the police station to turn it in.  He said that he thought it might have belonged to one of the occupants of the car, but the ID in the wallet was for an older man.  The owner of the wallet could not be located, and the wallet was booked into the property room.

2 Vehicle Collision – Beverly Park Rd./SR-525
A vehicle pulled out of a parking lot of a 7-11 into another vehicle, westbound on Beverly Park Rd. from SR-525.  The driver of the second vehicle was cited for failure to yield right of way.

Assault – 11100 block Chennault Beach Rd.
A resident was arguing with her son about use of the computer.  She tried to move her son away from the computer and he struck her in the chest to knock her down.  The 15-year-old son was not booked for assault his mother’s request.  The case will go to the juvenile prosecutor for charging.

Suspicious – 12700 block 52nd Pl. W                
A resident reported girls and boys screaming and yelling in the neighborhood for the last 40 minutes.  She also heard a female yelling or crying for help.  Officers located an outdoor adult party at 5100 block 126th St SW.  The residents advised everything was OK and agreed to keep it down.  

Aug. 22

Stolen Vehicle Recovery
Officer responded to the above address regarding a suspicious vehicle parked at the back of some property.  The car had no wheels and the stereo was missing from the dash.  The car was returned as a stolen vehicle from Everett, reported stolen July 30.  The owner was notified, and the car was impounded.

Lost/Stolen Cell Phone – Shoreline
No reward, no phone…
A victim lost cell phone on a bus in Shoreline.  She had received a call from a subject who wanted to return the phone for a money reward.  The victim did not want to meet the subject and give a reward for the phone.  The victim was advised to contact the Shoreline Police Department for assistance recovering the phone.  She did, and police are dealing with the situation in their jurisdiction.

911 Hang Up – 9600 block Harbour Pl.
Hello, bank?
Officer responded to the above 911 hang-up call and found no problems.  The caller was trying to call the bank and misdialed.

Suspicious/Warrant Arrest – 4800 block 92nd St. SW                
A resident requested a check on two females (one pregnant) and two males whose vehicle broke down at 92nd Street Park.  The subjects told the resident they were stranded with no money but did not seem concerned.  The family was contacted and claimed they had nowhere to go.  They said they would have the vehicle towed out of the park on Aug. 23.  Officers advised they could not stay the night at the park, and needed to make arrangements to go elsewhere or let the officers give them a ride wherever they needed to go.  One of the subjects was arrested on a Department of Corrections no-bail warrant for escape from community custody and booked into the Snohomish County Jail.  The rest of the family was given a ride to a residence on the Tulalip Reservation.   

Fire Assist –10200 block Marine View Dr.            
A resident reported they were laying their baby down and heard the baby’s arm snap.  Dispatch could hear the baby crying in the background.  The injury appeared to be the result of an accident involving the mother.  The child was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle.

Noise – 5200 block 84th St. SW                        
A resident reported a male singing loudly at an apartment in the complex east of his.  Other neighbors were yelling at him to be quiet.  Officers contacted the resident at 5200 block 84th St. SW, who was playing Guitar Hero.  He agreed to turn it down.

Noise – 4800 block 76th St. SW                        
A resident reported people being loud in the pool area, which was closed.  The subjects agreed to leave.

Aug. 23

Theft –11400 block SR-525            
A resident reported that sometime between 3:50-4:20 a.m. someone pried open the “pay station.”  Security video shows a male on a bicycle at the business during that time frame.

Assault/Domestic Violence –1800 block 19th Drive             
A resident reported that her husband and son were fighting.  It was determined that the husband had told the son that he needed to get up and the son objected. The son got up throwing punches and hit the father in the face.  The son was booked into the Denny Youth Center for fourth-degree assault DV.

Traffic Complaint – 9200 block SR-525            
An officer responded to the above location for a report of a female driver texting while driving.  She was not located.

Assist to Fire – 64th Pl. W/Chennault Beach Dr.    
Officers responded to the above area for a vehicle fire.  The road was closed for about 45 minutes.

Verbal Domestic – 9400 block 48th Ave. W                    
Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance.  A subject had been drinking, and she got in an argument with her son’s girlfriend over the treatment of her two children.  The argument did not become physical.

Property/Safekeeping – 4800 block 76th St. SW
A resident called to request that officers confiscate several firearms from a residence.  He has been staying at the residence for the past few months performing home improvements while the homeowner is reportedly in Wisconsin. The caller said that he and the homeowner’s fiancée in Wisconsin had become very concerned about subject’s mental stability recently. The homeowner reportedly took off from Wisconsin a few weeks ago but has not revealed to his fiancée where he is.  They report the homeowner’s behavior to be very paranoid and delusional. The caller said he was leaving for Wisconsin tomorrow.  He said he was concerned the subject might return home, and he did not want to leave the firearms at the residence for the homeowner to return to, given his current state of mind.  The firearms were confiscated for safekeeping and a receipt left at the residence.

Suspicious Circumstances – 3800 block Harbour Pointe Blvd. SW            
Officers were dispatched to a report that a woman in a yellow car who had tools with her was seen 20 minutes earlier trying to pull the drive-up ATM apart.  The officers found no apparent damage to the ATM and confirmed with Bank of America security that a technician had recently been at the location working on the ATM.  

Suspicious Circumstances – Lighthouse Park
The ol’ switcheroo…                    
While patrolling Lighthouse Park, an officer located an unoccupied white 1988 Isuzu Trooper displaying license plates belonging to a 1989 Acura.  The officer spoke via phone with the Acura’s registered owner.  The owner was apologetic and admitted that he had taken the plates off his recently totaled Acura and placed them on the Isuzu because its registration was expired.  He explained that he had borrowed the Isuzu from a friend, which was confirmed.  The officer warned the owner about the risks involved with switching plates.  The plates were confiscated.

Barking Dog/Open Door – 12600 block 52nd Pl. W    
Now, if he could just learn to close it…            
An officer was dispatched to a report of a dog barking.  Upon the officer’s arrival, he heard a dog barking at the location.  Upon attempting contact at the residence, he found no one answered but that two doors were open at the residence.  Officers searched the residence and found nothing suspicious inside.  The resident was contacted via phone and advised that the dog is able to open doors that are left unlocked.  The resident suspected her children might have left the doors unlocked, which were later opened by the dog.  The house did not appear to have been burglarized, and the resident said she would check the residence for anything suspicious when she comes home later today.  Officers were able to secure the home upon their departure.
