Aug. 3

Suspicious – 4800 block 76th St. SW
A complainant reported receiving an e-mail from an unknown person telling him that his bank account had been used by someone. The e-mail had the reporting party’s correct account number and a substantial amount of personal information in it.

Patrol Information – 900 block Washington Ave.
A resident found what he thought was the print of a forehead on his living room window, like someone was looking into the house.

Collision – 8000 block SR 525
Two young children escaped injury when a motorist turned out of the post office parking lot onto the Speedway and struck two strollers with the children in them. The driver was cited for inattention.

Reckess Endangerment – 7000 block 44th Pl. W
A resident reported someone had been shooting pellets at his house and/or cats. Police determined the resident had found some soft air pellets in his yard, but hadn’t seen anyone shooting them at his pets or anything else.

Involuntary Commitment – 4500 block HP Blvd.
A resident called to report she was extremely intoxicated and wanted help. Upon arrival, officers determined she had consumed six bottles of wine. When an aid crew from the fire department arrived, she said she wanted to kill herself. She was transported to the hospital.

Noise Complaint – 900 block 6th St.
When the parents are away, the kids will play…
Officers responded to a loud party complaint at the above location.  The homeowners were out of town, and their 19-year-old daughter was having a party.  The officers made contact with the homeowners who wanted the officers to shut the party down.  The partygoers went home. 

Aug. 4

Vehicle Prowl – 1600 block Highland Terrace
Someone entered two unlocked vehicles, stealing a pair of Oakley sunglasses and a bank deposit slip.

Animal Complaint    – 1120 Ridge St.
A resident reported a bear cub near her front yard.  She said it was at the end of the road near a wooded area leading into Japanese Gulch.  The bear was gone when officers arrived.

Theft – 10900 SR 525
A male, about 19 years old, walked into the Shell Station and asked for a pack of cigarettes. He handed the clerk a sandwich bag of change, telling her, “That should be enough.” She told him it wasn’t enough, but he walked out, anyway. Police failed to locate the suspect.

Vehicle Prowl – 1600 block Lumley Ave.
A resident reported that during the previous night someone entered her unlocked vehicle.  A GPS unit, a digital camera, and a purse containing several gift cards, credit cards, debit cards, cash and checks were among the items missing.

Order Violation – 12300 block Cyrus Way
A complainant reported that her estranged husband called her employer’s corporate office and left more than 20 vulgar messages.  The complainant lives in Vancouver, Wash., and her estranged husband lives in Yuma, Ariz.  The case is under investigation.

Theft – 11700 block SR 525
The manager at QFC reported that three juvenile males associated with a silver Mercedes shoplifted several items.  Police have the car’s license plate number, and the case is still under investigation.

Welfare Check – 4500 block HP Blvd.
Checking on a hang-up call at a residence, officers talked with a woman who was unhappy that her husband threatened to leave her today, and she had questions about various civil issues involving their possessions. The woman stated she was not suicidal and she did not appear to be intoxicated.  She was provided with various resources and agreed to call 911 if she needed further assistance.

Disturbance – 600 Front St.
Officers were dispatched to a disturbance involving two males who were arguing over a parking space in front of Lighthouse Park.  Officers mediated a truce; they shook hands and parted ways.

Animal Complaint – SR 525 and Paine Field Blvd.                   
SnoPac reported that a caller advised that a deer was on the east shoulder of SR 525, and the caller was concerned it might wander into traffic.  The caller later was upset that an officer did not move the deer.  The officer explained that the deer and motorists would be put at greater risk if police tried to “herd” the deer out of the area.  The deer was last seen in an area of vegetation near the listed intersection about 25 yards from the road and was possibly unable to get back over a fence to leave the area.

Suspicious – Gulch behind Staybridge Suites
A tenant at Anchor Village reported hearing subjects in the gulch behind the hotel and saw what appeared to be a campfire and flashlights.  Officers located a recently extinguished bonfire, pellet gun and other items at the end of an access road. The subjects ran deeper into the woods and were not found.  The pellet gun was booked as found property.

Aug. 5

Assault/DV/Felony Harassment – 10400 block Marine View Dr.
A male was booked into county jail after police responded to a disturbance and determined he had pushed his father and threatened to kill other family members.

Animal Complaint –10300 block Marine View Dr.
Flew the coop…
A caller reported finding a possibly injured homing pigeon.  The bird appeared to have been injured, had bands on its legs but was able to fly.  The bird took off before police arrived.

Assist Law – 3900 block HP Blvd. SW
Two suspects managed to elude police and a K-9 search dog after a King County detective reported he had information that a wanted subject and his girlfriend were staying at a Mukilteo hotel. Both suspects were wanted for various crimes, including auto theft. When King County detectives attempted to contact the suspects, they fled.

Ordinance Violation – 5100 block 104th St. SW
A complainant reported that her neighbor had illegal chickens in the backyard that were keeping her awake.  An officer contacted the neighbor who said she had chickens in the past, but had been fined by the city and got rid of them.  The officer did not see or hear any chickens.

Trespass – 2600 block SR 525
A resident at Longwood Condos reported seeing 2-3 juveniles on the roof of the middle school.  The subjects were gone when police arrived.

Suspicious – 11100 block Chennault Beach Rd.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a possible Malicious Mischief in progress.  The complainant reported that her estranged husband might be damaging her vehicle tires in the parking lot.  Officers determined there was no damage done to the vehicle.  However, the male was located driving away and was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Aug. 6

Vehicle Prowl – 5400 block HP Blvd.
A car thief ransacked the glove box and managed to force the ignition half way to the on position, but failed to steal the parked vehicle.

Welfare Check – 3900 block HP Blvd. SW
Concerned about one of their guests, an employee called police, telling them he was very intoxicated and walking westbound. Police located him and, despite his inebriated state, he didn’t appear to be in any distress. Officers gave him a courtesy ride to another location in town.

Verbal DV – 10700 block 64th Place W
And police took the air out of their argument…
Roommates were arguing, and one of them let the air out of the other’s vehicle tires.  There was no assault, and the subjects agreed to stay away from each other for the remainder of the night.

Suspicious– Front Street/SR 525
Officers responded to the area to check for a male attacking another subject near the ferry.  Upon arrival, officers located an intoxicated male who had reportedly assaulted two other subjects in the area.  The subjects were not injured and did not want to pursue charges against the assailant.  He agreed to leave the area.   

Assault /Malicous Mischief – Front Street/SR 525   
Officers were dispatched to check for a subject reportedly trying to “pick fights” with people.  As officers were arriving in the area, dispatch advised that the subject had punched someone’s car and was chasing them.  Police determined the suspect had assaulted two people and broke the windshield of a vehicle by punching it.  Officers arrested and booked him at the Snohomish County Jail for two counts of Assault and one count of Malicious Mischief.

Assault – 5000 block 84th St. SW
And the hits just keep on comin’…
Officers checked the area for subjects yelling and arguing. They contacted two brothers and determined that the brothers had been arguing when one attacked the other, and they both started pushing each other.  A witness said he tried to stop the assault, but one of the brothers pushed him out of the way and hit his head.  That brother was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Assault.

Mental – 13300 block 47th Place W
Officers responded to the area for a male who had followed the complainant’s daughter home, was acting strange and would not leave.  Upon arrival, the officers contacted a male nearby who was about 17-years-old.  He was unable to tell the officers his name, address or any information about himself.  He claimed to be an alien from another planet, made numerous other bizarre statements, and threatened the officers.  A private ambulance responded and transported him to Colby hospital for a mental evaluation.   

Alcohol Violation – Ferry Dock
Dispatch advised that intoxicated subjects on the dock were throwing beer bottles into the water.  An officer spoke with numerous people drinking on the dock.  They all denied throwing bottles in the water, and the officer warned them about the alcohol violation. 

DUI Collision – 5300 block 88th St. SW
Officers responded to a vehicle that drove into a ditch, and the occupants were trying to pull it out.  The officers identified the driver, and he appeared intoxicated.  He refused to do field sobriety tests, and the officers arrested him on suspicion of DUI.  He blew a .168/.179 on the breathalyzer.  The subject’s father pulled his car from the ditch, and then the officers cited and released him to his father.   

Aug. 7

Animal Complaint – 1000 block Ridge St.
All in a day’s work…
Officers responded to the location for a goat that got its fur tangled in the gate surrounding the retention pond.  Prior to officers’ arrival, the complainant freed the goat.  It did not appear to be injured.

Was it speeding?…
An anonymous complainant reported a deer running along the fence line at the location.

Aug. 8

Verbal DV/Violation of Protection Order – 5300 block HP Blvd.
Responding to a disturbance, officers talked to two subjects who said their argument had been verbal only. But after leaving, officers determined that one of the subjects had provided false information to cover up a restraining order against him. They returned to the residence and arrested him for violation of a protection order and for making a false or misleading statement to a public servant.

Possible Narcotics Activity – 11100 block Chennault Beach Rd.
An officer responded to the location for three white males and one female smoking marijuana in a silver BMW.  The vehicle was gone when police arrived. 

Mental – 3800 block HP Blvd.
A caller advised that she was depressed and wanted to talk with an officer.  She said she had to go out of town to work, was feeling depressed and just wanted to speak with an officer before she went.  She decided that she did not want to go to the hospital, and said that she felt better after speaking with the police. 

Residential Burglary – 4800 block Sterling Way
Computer equipment and miscellaneous electronics were stolen after unknown suspect(s) likely made entry by prying open a condo’s back window. 

Suspicious Person – 8500 block SR 525
Calling Sigmund Freud…
Officers responded to the location for a female sitting outside smoking a cigar.

Suspicious – Beverly Park Road/SR 525
Officers responded to the location for a 23-year-old white male in a purple and black hoodie walking toward SR 525 on Beverly Park Road.  According to the complainant, the male looked angry, was walking aggressively and looked like he was carrying a silver handgun.  He was gone upon officers’ arrival.

Aug. 9

Suspicious – 8000 block SR 525
Even the stupid have rights…
Several callers weren’t happy with three people associated with the LaRouche PAC outside the post office who were displaying signs showing President Obama with a “Hitler” mustache.  The trio set up a table with a petition to express their opinions and were not blocking the right of way.  One upset caller told dispatch that if the police did not do something about it, he would.  An officer explained to disgruntled callers about the First Amendment right to free speech.

Theft – 3800 block HP Blvd. SW
A caller reported that he left his cell phone in the bathroom.  When he returned about 30 minutes later, it was gone.  GPS showed the phone was in Mill Creek.  The case is under investigation.

Theft – 4800 block Hidden Forest Dr.
With friends like these…
A complainant reported that a friend who had been staying with him took his credit cards and made unauthorized purchases with them.

Theft – 5300 block HP Blvd.
Two children’s bicycles were stolen from in front of a resident’s condominium.

Animal Complaint – 4500 block 71st Pl. W
A resident was warned after his uncontained dog reportedly attacked another resident’s dog.

Suspicious – 8000 block 53rd Ave. W
After stopping a pair who were skateboarding down the middle of a dark roadway, an officer determined that one of them had an At Risk Youth warrant. However, the warrant couldn’t be confirmed, because the youth was now an adult.

Theft – 11700 block SR 525
A pair of would-be thieves got a break when a store manager decided not to press charges. Security officers detained the juveniles when they ran into a construction site toward a waiting vehicle after stealing four cases of beer from the store. The juveniles returned the beer.
