Suspicious – 8100 block 45th Ave. W Suspicious of a male walking in the neighborhood, a resident told police that he was not going to every house and seemed to be going to the front door but not knocking. Officers contacted a subject who was a window washer and was placing business cards on the doors.
Juvenile Problem – 10500 block 47th Pl. W An exasperated parent requested an officer speak to his son about the consequences of his behavior. The 11-year-old boy had been breaking things around the house and acting violently. An officer spoke with the juvenile.
Traffic Dispute – SR 525 & Goat Trail Justice!… Officers responded to the above area for a disturbance between someone in the ferry line and a driver who cut into the line. The cutter admitted to cutting and agreed to go to the back of the line.
Animal Complaint – 10600 block 62nd Pl. W A complainant reported there were five aggressive dogs off leash in the neighborhood and that some of the dogs had been in his backyard. An officer located one of the dogs, and it was contained by the owner. The other dogs were gone. The caller requests extra patrol in the neighborhood.
Traffic Complaint – 5000 block 88th St. SW A resident reported an ongoing problem with a yellow motorcycle speeding through the neighborhood. He requests extra traffic patrol emphasis.
Res. Burglary/Theft – 10600 block McArthur Lane A complainant reported the theft of $2,000 from his safe last week. The case is under investigation.
Silent Alarm – 5000 block HP Blvd. Officers responded to a silent alarm and determined that three skateboarders likely activated the alarm when their boards hit one of the doors. They were warned for trespassing and left.
DUI – 8600 block 53rd PL W Darwin Award candidate… An officer stopped a motorcyclist for traffic violations and found the driver to be DUI. The driver provided breath samples of .150 and .153, nearly double the legal limit. The driver was cited and released.
July 28
Animal Problem – 4800 block 103rd Pl. SW Not eggsactly what you wanted to hear… An officer notified a resident of a violation of City Ordinances by keeping three chickens on the property. The resident was given a short time to relocate the birds before any penalties would be assessed.
Residential Burglary – 13500 block 42nd Ave. W Burglars pried open a door with a bar, then searched through the home, stealing jewelry and other items.
Vehicle Theft – 9600 block Harbour Pl. A white, 1995 Honda Civic 4-door was stolen from the parking lot.
Vehicle Theft – 4500 block HP Blvd. A white, 1994 Honda Accord was stolen sometime after 1 a.m.
2 Vehicle Collision – 3900 block HP Blvd. A driver was cited after making a U-turn on HP Blvd. SW and striking a second vehicle. There as severe damage to both vehicles.
Collision – 6500 block Harbour Heights Parkway A driver was cited for inattentive driving after hitting an unoccupied parked car. He told police he backed out of a parking spot, put his car in drive, and his hand slipped off the wheel. His hand then hit his right knee, forcing his foot down onto the accelerator. He sped forward and hit the parked car.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery – 4500 block HP Blvd. While on patrol, an officer located the ’95 Honda Civic stolen earlier in the day. The registered owner responded and reclaimed the vehicle. She said that the only thing missing was her purse and contents.
Ordinance Violation – 800 block 3rd St. Officers responded to the area for an intoxicated male who urinated in the street. The officers warned him and transported him home.
DUI – 2600 block SR 525 While on patrol, an officer was flagged down and notified of a possible DUI driver in a silver Mercedes. The officer contacted the driver in the parking lot, and she appeared extremely intoxicated. She refused to take field sobriety tests, but based on other evidence and witness statements, the officer arrested her and transported her to the police station for a breath test. She was unable to give valid samples and agreed to a blood test. The officer then transported her to the hospital where she gave blood samples. Her husband responded to the hospital and took custody of her. Charges will be forwarded to prosecutor based on the results of the blood test.
July 29
Suspicious Vehicle – 13400 block 47th Pl. W A complainant reported a Toyota Camry driving through the area, and the occupants seemed lost. He thought it was suspicious.
Disabled Boater – Lighthouse Park It’s called “planning”… Officers responded to someone yelling for help, and discovered the pleas where coming from several people on a boat offshore. They also were waving a red flag. Another boater came to their rescue after it was discovered they had run out of gas.
Assault 4 – 700 Front St. The day quickly went south for a motorist in the ferry holding lane after another vehicle rear-ended his car. Although there was no damage to either vehicle, the driver of the front car got out to talk to the other motorist, who thought he appeared intoxicated and asked if he had been drinking and driving. That prompted him to slap his questioner three times in the face and push him. Numerous people witnessed the assault, and police arrested and booked the assailant, and impounded his car because it was blocking the ferry holding lanes.
Fail to Obey Police Officer – 11700 block SR 525 Don’t call him a lert… An officer attempted to stop a red Camry for several traffic violations, but the motorist failed to stop. He wasn’t driving recklessly, stopped at red lights, wasn’t speeding and often traveled below the speed limit, yet seemed oblivious to the officer’s attempts to get him to pull over. The vehicle finally stopped about four miles later in the 18100 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. Officers arrested the driver, and ultimately booked him into the county jail.
July 30
Mental – 4500 block Finch St. A 23-year-old woman was transported to Steven’s Hospital by aid for a voluntary commitment after she admitted to meth use and that she was suicidal.
Theft/Veh. Prowl – 11400 block Cyrus Way Two refrigeration compressors and two evaporators were stolen sometime over the previous seven days after two work trailers were entered.
Res. Burglary – 13200 block Beverly Park Rd. A resident reported that sometime yesterday someone entered his unlocked residence and stole $200 in change, a digital camera and a watch.
Animal Problem – 4900 block 131st St. SW Police responded to a report of a loose dog that attacked a complainant’s dog while he was taking it for a walk. There were no injuries, and the owner of the other dog was given a warning.
Assist to Aid – 12300 block HP Blvd. Officers were dispatched to assist aid on a report of an unconscious male at the location. It was determined that a subject likely overdosed on heroin. He regained consciousness and was transported by aid to the hospital.
Welfare Check – 600 block SR 525 An officer was dispatched to an area check for an elderly female wandering in and out of traffic. The woman had walked away from an elderly group home and was transported back by a family member.
DUI Collision – 7900 block SR 525 A motorist reportedly reached over to pick up a cell phone and struck two unoccupied parked cars parked along the side of SR 525. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI and provided a breathalyzer sample of .125 and .126, which is over the legal limit.
July 31
Noise Complaint – 5200 block 84th St. SW A complainant reported his neighbors were making noise and were not being quiet after he asked them to. An officer contacted the tenants in the nearby unit, and they explained that they were getting ready to leave town for the weekend and were packing their things. The officer explained to their neighbor that this was not unreasonable.
Traffic Hazard – 19th Drive/SR 525 Dorm room décor?… A passerby reported the stop sign and street sign missing at the intersection. An officer contacted Mukilteo Public Works and advised them of the hazard. Public Works said they would be en route to replace the stop sign.
Warrant Arrest – 13400 block Pacific Pointe Lane After a male was arrested on a felony warrant for escape, he swallowed some narcotics that were discovered on his person during a strip search at Snohomish County Jail. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, then was returned to jail and booked.
Animal Complaint – 12900 block 50th Pl. W A caller requested assistance with trapping a coyote in her yard and wanted police to transport it to PAWS. An officer met with the resident and explained that the police department does not trap wild animals or take them to a local shelter.
Parking Complaint – 610 Front St. The best laid plans… A caller reported that he had blocked off several parking stalls at the location to allow for a moving truck that was on its way. He said that someone had ignored his cordon and parked there anyway. He was advised that without a right-of-way permit he could not reserve on-street parking for his own use.
Collision – 7900 block SR 525 A passenger was transported to a local hospital for back pain following a four-vehicle, chain-reaction collision that occurred when a vehicle rear-ended a second vehicle, that then hit a third car, which slammed into a fourth.
Civil – 5200 block 84th St. SW A complainant reported her neighbors being loud and shaking the walls and floors, causing damage to her apartment. She also said that the neighbor came to her unit and was being belligerent and caused her lamp to fall and break. Officers determined that the neighbors were not even home, and it is unknown how her lamp fell.
Assault 4 DV – 4500 block Finch St. A complainant reported that her boyfriend jabbed her in her eyes with his fingers and shoved her during an argument. The boyfriend was arrested and booked into county jail.
Theft/Suspicious – 8500 block SR 525 A caller reported that a female escort he met via Craigslist took his iPad computer. The female denied taking the iPad.
Assist Law/DUI – 122nd Pl./SR 525 Dispatch advised that several citizens had been following a DUI/Hit and Run suspect from Marysville and now had the subject pinned down outside of his vehicle. A Mukilteo officer assisted in detaining the subject until a state trooper arrived to take the subject into custody.
Vehicle Prowl – 600 block Marine View Pl. Officers were dispatched to a report of two males wearing dark clothing who may have attempted to break into the caller’s vehicle. Officers determined that at least one vehicle had been prowled. A K-9 track was conducted with negative results. The case is still under investigation.
Aug. 1
Follow-Up – 600 block Marine View Pl. The victim in an earlier vehicle prowl called to report finding a cell phone in their driveway that did not belong to them and suspected it belonged to one of the suspects. The officer collected the phone as evidence.
DUI – 10600 block SR 525 Dispatch received three separate reports of a green van doing multiple u-turns along SR 525 and stopping in the middle of the road. Officers located and stopped the vehicle. After performing field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested for DUI and provided breath samples of .133 and .135. The motorist was transported to his residence in Everett, cited and released, and his van was towed.
Found Property – 900 block Washington Ave. A homeowner reported finding miscellaneous items in her yard including a planter, bag of change and keys. The items appeared to have been taken in vehicle prowls that occurred this morning.
Suspicious – Bernie Webber/SR 525 Officers were dispatched to an area check for an intoxicated male who reportedly climbed into the passenger side of a stranger’s vehicle and then threatened to assault him if he did not drive. The motorist refused, and the subject exited the car. The motorist was no longer in the area and did not want contact. The male was located and transported home.
Aug. 2
Identity Theft – 10200 block 64th Pl. W A complainant reported receiving a notice from a collection agency that was trying to collect on an account that the reporting party didn’t open.
Assault – 10900 block E. Villa Monte Police sent the case to the prosecutor to sort out after a confrontation between neighbors. The reporting party said he was walking his dog in the complex common area when another resident became upset that the dog was urinating on the grass. The resident allegedly pushed the man in the chest and kicked his dog. The resident admitted to yelling at the man, but denied shoving him or kicking the dog.
Assault – 11700 block SR 525 A possible assault is under investigation after the husband of an employee came to pick her up. The victim had fired the woman, and the husband allegedly threw a small statue at the victim’s head, causing a small cut. He allegedly also threatened to kill the victim.
Vehicle Prowl – 900 block Goat Trail Loop The registration and insurance card were stolen in a vehicle prowl.
Identity Theft – 5600 block HP Blvd. An ex-girlfriend reportedly used her former boyfriend’s social security number to open a credit account.
Vehicle Prowl – 4500 block HP Blvd. Take my stuff, please!… A resident reported that electronics and cash were stolen from her unlocked vehicle.
Vehicle Prowl – 12100 block SR 525 An officer responded to the parking lot for several vehicles that had been prowled. Two vehicles had been left unlocked, and purses and other items were taken.
Public Assist – 11800 block SR 525 After receiving a report of a male using a coat hanger to try to enter a vehicle, an officer found the man had locked his keys inside. The officer gave him a ride home and back to retrieve his spare keys.
