Suspicious Incident – 900 block 45th Pl. W Officers resonded to a report of a juvenile prowling around some parked cars, but a search failed to turn up a suspect.
Animal Problem – Lighthouse Park An officer found a large black lab locked in a truck with the windows nearly closed. Officers measured the inside temperature, and when it reached 105 degrees, they removed the dog for its own safety. The owner later came to the station to claim his dog.
Juvenile Problem – 12400 block 54th Ave. W A complainant reported that her son was receiving harassing text messages from an unknown person. An officer discovered that one of her son’s friends was playing a practical joke on him. They requested no police action.
Suspicious Person – 11700 block SR 525 Responding to a report of an aggressive panhandler wearing a pink jacket in the parking lot, an officer contacted a woman who claimed her truck had broken down. She agreed to stop panhandling and declined the officer’s assistance.
Assault – 5700 block Central Dr. Officers responded for an assault with a weapon between a father and his 16-year-old son. Determining that the son assaulted his father, the officers arrested the son, and he was booked into the Denny Youth Center.
Suspicious Person – 3800 block HP Blvd. SW Was she wearing pink?… An officer responded to the location for a female aggressively soliciting money. She left in a blue or black Honda prior to the officer’s arrival.
Disturbance – 12300 block HP Blvd. A security officer called and reported that four juveniles ran up on him and then hid in the bushes. Mukilteo officers determined that they were playing hide-and-seek and meant no harm to the security officer.
Loud Party Complaint – 5300 block HP Blvd. Maybe they’ll think we disappeared… Officers responded to an apartment for a loud party complaint. When they knocked on the door, the occupants closed the blinds, locked the door and turned off the lights. The officers were unable to get anyone to open up, but the partygoers did quiet down.
DUI – Beverly Park and SR 525 Responding to a report of a vehicle that was all over the road, officers located the vehicle, observed several traffic infractions, and pulled over the driver. She appeared very intoxicated, failed field sobriety tests, was arrested and blew a .131/.128 on a breathalizer, well over the legal limit of .08. She was cited for driving under the influence and driving without a license, and was transported home.
Information – 700 block Front St. A representative from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Wildlife advised that he would be using a suppressed firearm on wildlife in the area. He did not require assistance.
Traffic Hazard – 8800 block SR 525 An officer responded to the report of a deer in the roadway at the location. The deer was off the roadway when the officer arrived and did not appear injured. The officer took no action.
July 21
Suspicious – 800 block 2nd St. A complainant reported that her son received several strange text messages asking him to, “check his power” and “his grow.” There were no threats, and they were likely sent to the wrong number.
Parking Complaint – 600 block Front St. A complainant was upset that all the spaces in the boat-trailer parking area at Lighthouse Park were full, and that there were non boat-trailer combos parked in the spaces. He asked that those vehicles be towed.
Assault-Domestic Violence-Warrant Arrest – 4700 block 94th St. SW Home sweet home… After receiving a call from a female that she had been shoved while holding an infant, officers went to the address of the incident, determined a subject had shoved and threatened her roommate during an argument, arrested the woman and booked her into Snohomish County Jail. At the same time, they arrested a male in the apartment on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Later, officers were called back to the apartment where they arrested another subject for provoking an assault after the female’s father had come to the apartment to assist her.
July 22
Vehicle Prowl – 4500 block 78th Pl. SW A prowler stole a GPS device after breaking into a van overnight. A neighbor reported seeing a small white passenger car parked near the van at about 4:45 a.m.
Welfare Check – 1200 block Goat Trail Road It just seemed lonely… A caller reported calling the above residence and speaking with a “small child” who said they were at home alone. The RcallerP requested an officer check on the child. Officers discovered that the child was at home with grandma, and there were no problems.
Animal Complaint – 4900 block 99th St. SW Did you say ‘Please?’… A caller reported several house-broken raccoons at the location refusing to leave…
DUI/Hit and Run – 10600 block 47th Pl. W Officers were dispatched to a report of a Hit and Run that occurred in the above parking lot. Witnesses followed the suspect as he fled in his vehicle into the YMCA parking lot. The suspect was identified and arrested. He registered .152 and .180 on a breathalyzer. Legal limit is .08.
Disturbance – 614 Front St. Officers were dispatched to a dispute at the docks involving several subjects who were upset about limited space available on the dock to use for crabbing. One subject was cited for Provoking an Assault.
Follow-Up – 1200 block Goat Trail Rd. A caller wanted to know why the police had been at his residence this afternoon. An officer explained that someone had apparently called 911 because they were concerned that a small child was home alone at the location. The caller was extremely upset and felt his privacy had been violated. The officer explained the reasoning behind the welfare check several times but to no avail.
July 23
Public Assist – 12400 block 55th Pl. W A 13-year-old babysitter got locked out of the house with a 3-year-old male inside. Before officers arrived, the babysitter found an unlocked window and climbed into the house. Babysitter and child were both O.K.
Suspicious – 1500 block SR 525 Officers walked through a home with a homeowner after receiving a call about a possible in-progress burglary. She told officers she thought she heard someone walking around downstairs. They found the house secure and nothing suspicious.
July 24
Abandoned vehicle – 6300 block St. Andrews Dr Numerous callers reported a black Jetta parked sideways in the road. Officers found the vehicle blocking half of the eastbound lane. While waiting for a tow truck, the registered owner returned. She said she had parked the vehicle properly and the emergency brake must have malfunctioned. The tow truck was cancelled and the owner was issued an infraction.
Vehicle collision – Evergreen Dr/ SR 525 A motorcyclist was treated at the scene for minor injuries after a vehicle turned in front of the biker, who was headed southbound on SR525.
Audible alarm – 13500 block 47th Pl. W From the ‘dog ate my homework’ files… An officer was dispatched to an audible residential alarm. The officer contacted the homeowner, who had also responded, and found that the family dog had probably set the alarm off.
Vehicle Prowl – 5100 block 92nd St. SW A complainant reported that an unknown person stole five checks from his unsecured vehicle last night.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery/Possible Civil Issue – 5000 block 84th St. SW A caller reported that a U-Haul employee assaulted her and that she was having trouble returning the truck she rented. She said she rented the U-Haul truck on July 2, and it was due back the following day. She said she got several extensions to the contract, but when she tried to return the truck in Lynnwood, the employee there assaulted her. She did not report the assault to Lynnwood police. She had not returned the truck because she was afraid to go there and now does not have enough money to cover the rental fee (for the last three weeks). Lynnwood police ultimately took a stolen report on the truck from U-Haul. Officers had the truck removed from stolen status, and U-Haul had it impounded by Ruby’s towing.
Mental – 5000 block HP Blvd. An officer responded to a 911 hang-up call from a cellular phone from the above location. The officer ultimately contacted a female who has a history of depression and of threatening suicide. She told the officer that she was stressed out over life and said she was having financial trouble. She said that she did not feel suicidal, but wanted to talk with a female officer. A female officer spoke with her and she promised not to hurt herself and said that she would call back if she thought she might hurt herself.
July 25
Attempted Burglary – 1500 block Mukilteo Lane Although a pane of glass on the front door had been broken overnight, a possible burglar failed to gain entry to the residence.
Animal Complaint – 12300 block HP Blvd. After receiving reports of a pit-bull chasing people in the play area, an officer contacted the dog’s owner who agreed to keep the dog on a leash.

Suspicious Person – 4600 block Arbors Cr. A compliment? Or just creepy… A caller reported a male had come to look at a house she was showing, and he started yelling at her that she was too pretty. He then left on foot in an unknown direction.
Suspicious – 4300 block HP Blvd. SW A suspiciously bad habit… A caller reported that an individual associated with a white BMW may have entered a container truck parked at the location. There were several empty containers parked at the location, but it didn’t appear that anything had been stolen. Officers spoke with the driver of the BMW, who denied taking anything from the container and said he was looking for a place to smoke a cigarette while on break from work. Suspicious – 9000 block Surrey Lane Officers responded to two individuals shooting cans with pellet guns at the location. The officers identified them and warned them. They agreed to stop.
Noise Complaint – 700 block Front St. Responding to loud talking and yelling on the docks near the Silver Cloud Inn, officers found 11 people on the dock near the ferry crabbing and drinking. The officers educated the individuals on the open container and crabbing rules, and they pulled their pots and left.
Suspicious – 10800 block HP Blvd. While on patrol, an officer located an unoccupied vehicle parked near the tennis courts at about 2:30 a.m. The vehicle was warm to the touch and had a lot of toilet paper in the backseat. The officer left a note on the vehicle warning them against TP’ing.
July 26
Disturbance – 4900 block 76th St. SW An officer responded to the above location for a disturbance between a female and an employee. The subject was having a mental health issue. She did not damage anything, and the employee did not want to pursue charges for having books thrown at her.
Juvenile Problem – 600 block Front St. A complainant reported juveniles smoking in front of the location. The group was told to vacate the “21 and older only” establishment’s designated smoking area.
Theft – 13100 block 44th Ave. W A caller reported that someone took his son’s bicycle the previous night. The bike was described as a blue, Fisher 20” mountain bike.
Malicious Mischief – 12000 block Wilmington Way A complainant reported that her vehicle and several others in the neighborhood had been egged and smeared with fecal matter Sunday night.
Warrant Arrest – 8900 block 44th Ave. W An officer was dispatched to check on an occupied vehicle that was possibly associated with drug activity. The sole occupant of the vehicle was arrested on a felony warrant for Dangerous Drugs and a misdemeanor warrant for Driving with a Suspended License.
DUI Collision – 80th/SR 525 Officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle that struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. The driver was arrested for DUI and provided a breathalyzer sample of .177 and .178, more than double the legal limit.
Parking Complaint – 608 Front Street 2O1 Inc. #7396 (O) The officer responded to the Lighthouse Park for several cars parked there after hours and issued tickets.
Disabled Vehicle – 8400 Blk SR 525 2O1 Inc. #7397 (O) The officer responded to a blocking disabled vehicle at the location and helped push the car from the roadway so the owner could get it safely repaired.
