July 6

Animal problem – 4600 blk Harbour Pt Blvd

An anonymous motorist reported a wolf crossing the street in front of the Mukilteo Library.  Officer checked the area and determined that what they saw was a coyote.

Animal problem – 1500 Block Horizon Dr

An officer checked the area for a deer that had walked up out of a gully and along the street towards SR-525 The deer was not located.

Hit and run – SR-525/ South Rd

An officer responded to a hit and run collision at the above location.  The victim vehicle, a black Lincoln Continental, was hit by a brown four-door Honda.  The Honda did a U-turn and left the scene.  A witness obtained the license plate number and provided it to the victim.  Under investigation.

Illegal Vendor – Lighthouse Park

Officer contacted a man selling ice cream novelties from a blue 1993 Ford Aerostar van. The R/O was contacted and did not have the required license and special permit to operate in the park.  He was warned and given the information on how to apply for the proper permits.  He was told that he must not attempt to operate in the park without the proper permits.

Check welfare –

Officers checked a residence for a female subject.  Her new mental health counselor said that she may be suicidal and had missed her appointment today.  Officers found no one at the apartment and relayed the information to the complainant.

R/P reported that her neighbor put a 6-year-old in charge of watching toddlers who were next to a pond.  The mother was contacted and warned about the hazards on playgrounds and ponds and explained the laws relating to child neglect.  She agreed to better supervise her children.

Accident–2600 block SR525                       

A motorcyclist reported colliding with the rear of a tan Toyota 4Runner.  The man stopped and the 4Runner kept going.  The rider had no damage to his motorcycle.  Info only.

Follow up–                   

The officer attempted to re-contact a subject who was the person of interest in a prior welfare check call.  She was still not home so the officer left a business card for her to call when she returned.  She called and said she was okay.  NFA. 
                                            
July 7

911 Hang up – 5th Street and Loveland       

The officer was dispatched to the above area for a 911 hang up from a cellphone.  Dispatched called back and a female said she accidentally dialed and there was no problem.  She also said that she was at Sound View Park in Everett.  The call was referred to EPD.

Animal complaint – 1000 Blk 5th Street           

The officer located a dead dog on the side of the road.  It appeared to have been hit by a car.  It was wearing a black Harley Davidson collar but had no tags or identification.  The owner could not be located and the remains were transported to PAWS.

Burglary – 3600 Blk South Road       

R/P reported that sometime between July 2 and 11 a.m. on July 7, an unknown actor entered his business.  Nothing was missing, but copper pipe had been moved and stacked up inside.  It was unknown how the business was entered.

Public assist – 10500 47th Pl West           

The officer responded to the PD to sign off on a junk vehicle.  The officer determined that since the RP was able to drive the vehicle to the PD it did not meet the RCW requirements for a junk vehicle.

Animal complaint – 4700 Blk 87th St SW   

Sting operation      

A resident requested assistance with a swarm of bees.  The officer determined that the man had not been injured but wanted assistance removing the bees without injuring them.  He was referred to a beekeeper.

Agency assist – 000 SR 525               

The Coast Guard requested an officer respond to the area near the ferry dock for a report of a disabled sailboard.  Upon arrival, the workers aboard the ferry Kittitas told the officer that the sailboarder had been picked up by a boater and did not appear to be in danger.

Public assist – 5th St and SR 525           

The officer responded to the above area for a report of an elderly female having difficulty walking.  The officer found a subject had wandered away from the nearby adult care facility.  A nurse from the facility arrived and the officer gave them a ride back to the home.

Theft – 10500 47th Place West   

The officer met with a woman regarding her e-mail and Facebook being hacked into.  Someone used her account to send messages to her contacts requesting money.  The case is under investigation.

Solicitors – 8400 Blk Smugglers Cove Ln.                       

Officers were dispatched to an area check for solicitors in the area without a permit.  The subjects were located and agreed to stop until they obtained a permit.

Parking complaint – 600 Front St.                           

The officer was dispatched to a parking complaint at the Lighthouse Park.  The officer was already on scene and resolved the complaint.

Suspicious/SR 525 – 11700 Blk SR 525.   

Wacky ‘baccy                  

The officer was dispatched to a call in the county.  The caller reportedly saw two subjects inside a vehicle, smoking marijuana in front of a tobacco shop.  They were GOA.

Juvenile Problem – 8000 Blk 44th Ave. W.                        

A male called to request assistance finding a place to stay because his parents kicked him out of the house for various issues.  The male was transported back home and the family agreed to work on alternative housing tomorrow.

Suspicious – 4500 Blk H.P. Blvd. Bldg.                         

The officer was dispatched to a report of two subjects in the parking lot with flashlights.  The officer determined they worked with a bail bonds company and were there looking for a warrant subject.

July 8

Malicious mischief – 6100 block Bayview Drive           

A woman reported that sometime during the previous night, her neighbor’s two vehicles had been damaged.  She said that the neighbors were out of the country at the time.  The vehicles had been extensively spray-painted and most of the tire punctured.  The garage door was also spray painted,

Check the ditch       

WSP advised of a motorcycle traveling over 90 MPH headed northbound towards Mukilteo.  It was not located.

Animal complaint – Harbour Reach & Possession Way   

A man advised of a coyote last seen headed towards the golf course.  He said that it had been standing in the middle of the roadway before walking off into the woods.

Traffic complaint – 84th St SW and SR 525           

Rick Fultz advised that a white semi truck pulling a load of Ditch Witches put grooves in the pavement while turning around.  It was not located.

Information – 2600 block Taylor Dr, Everett       

Everett PD advised that a burglary had just occurred art the above residence and the suspects might be headed towards Mukilteo in a light blue sedan. They were not located.

Suspicious – 5700 block 110th Place SW

Any anti-telemarketer software?           

A woman reported receiving a suspicious call from a telemarketer selling anti-virus software.  The officer found that the business appeared to be legitimate.  The woman gave no information and no crime was committed.

Information – 4500 block Harbour Pt Blvd

A bail bondsman advised that he was at the above location to serve a warrant.

Juvenile problem – 4800 block 100th Pl SW           

A resident reported that sometime during the previous night someone egged his house.  The eggs appeared to have come from the neighbor’s house.  The officer left a note for them to contact him.  There was no permanent damage.

Suspicious – 5300 Harbour Pt Blvd       

The officer responded to the above area for a report of two males in a pick up truck who appeared to be “scoping” out the area.  They were landscapers spreading bark.

Trespass – 700 block Front St.                               

Officers were dispatched to a report of several juveniles trespassing on the NOAA dock.  The group was warned for trespassing and escorted from the property.

Suspicious – 9500 block 49th Pl. W.                           

Officers were dispatched to a report of two adult males shooting tin cans with a BB gun.  The subjects were near the playground area of the apartment complex and agreed to stop.

Traffic complaint – Russell/525.     
                     
Slug bug – orange!

The officer was dispatched to an area check for a recklessly driven orange Volkswagen.  The incident occurred in the county and the VW was not located.

Arson – Island View Ln/SR 525.                           

Witnesses reported that a juvenile male, approximately 13 years of age possibly used a lighter to ignite some grass on fire along the side of the road.  The juvenile then ran from the area.  There was minor damage and the case is under investigation.

Theft – 12100 – SR 525.                               

A man reported his wallet and other miscellaneous items were stolen from his locker at the location.  The case is under investigation.

Assist law – 10500 block 62nd Pl. W.                           

Anaheim PD requested that officers attempted to contact a man and his two children at the location. The man was reportedly involved in some type of custody issue with the children.  There was not anyone at the address and the neighbor advised that the man had not been home for a couple of days.
