May 17

 

Traffic complaint – HPB and St Andrews Dr                       

 

The complainants were followed last night after honking and making a hand gesture at another motorist.  No assault occurred.  They just wanted the police to know of the situation.

 

Parking complaint – 305 Lincoln Ave                                   

 

The officer responded to the above area for a parking complaint and issued a warning.

 

Found property – Beverly Park Rd and Gibson RD           

 

A woman turned in a wallet she found at the Little League complex May 15, after she was unsuccessful in contacting the owner.  The officer left a message for the owner that her wallet was at the PD.

 

Suspicious – HPB SW and SR 525

 

A woman reported that a male left a backpack near the above location then kept walking while jumping around and holding his head.  Neither the backpack nor the male were located.

 

Theft – 5000 HPB           

 

A woman reported that her son’s cell phone was taken from his school locker sometime between 1400 and 1500 hours.

 

Verbal DV/Warrant/Obstructing/Drug para. – 1800 Blk SR 525.

 

A warmer place to sleep                      

 

Officers were dispatched to a report of a male and female arguing in the middle of the roadway.  The female was also reported to have been lying down in the roadway.  Officers contacted the couple, both of whom were in possession of drug paraphernalia and lied about their names.  The male also ran from the scene and was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.  Both subjects were booked into Snohomish County Jail.

 

Vehicle prowl – 5000 block 84th St. SW.                                                                                   

 

The officer was dispatched to an area check for a white male in dark clothing trying door handles in the apartment complex. The R/P chased the subject off and a burgundy SUV was then reportedly seen leaving the area quickly. Officers checked the area and found one vehicle prowled at an apartment complex.  The suspect and vehicle were not found.

 

 

May 18

 

 

Agency assist – 2600 Blk SR 525                                   

 

The officer responded to the location for an assault report.  The officer found that a student had been assaulted the previous day at a bus stop located in Everett.  The RP was referred to Everett PD.

 

Suspicious – 8100 Blk 45th Ave West

 

Now, there’s an idea                       

 

R/P reported that she received a note from someone attempting to deliver a summons.  She said that she was not involved in any legal proceedings and did not trust that it was legitimate.  The officer suggested that she call the phone number that was left in the note.

 

 

Follow up – 10500 47th Place W           

 

Gee, thanks, sis!                       

 

A man asked if Mukilteo officers had arrested his daughter the previous night.  The officers determined that the female had identified herself as her sister and was booked into Snohomish County Jail.  Detectives were working on getting the female transferred from county jail to DYC on the original charges and a warrant for prostitution.

 

 

Suspicious – 8100 Blk 46th Pl West                        

 

The officer met a woman at the police station who reported that a subject was possibly following her.  The subject lives in the same complex and she often sees him “following her.”  He also sometimes encounters her at the complex and asks inappropriate questions.  She was advised to apply for an anti-harassment order.

 

Assault 4 DV – 92nd/SR 525.                                                                                               

 

Two subjects reportedly assaulted two victims, then left the scene but were later located by Mountlake Terrace PD.  One was arrested and booked for DV Assault 4 and the other was cited for Assault 4.

 

Assist aid/warrant arrest – 11100 Blk Chennault Beach Rd.

 

Taking a detour                                  

 

Aid requested that officers check on a male who requested transport to an alcohol rehabilitation center.  The male had two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.  He was arrested and booked into Snohomish County Jail.

 

DUI arrest – 4700 Blk Chennault Beach Rd.

The officer stopped a vehicle that nearly struck his patrol car and subsequently arrested the driver for DUI.  She provided BAC samples of .198 and .187.

 

 

Verbal DV – 84th/SR 525.                                                                                               

 

While on patrol, an officer observed two subjects having what appeared to be a heated argument in a moving vehicle, with the female wildly waiving her arms around.  The officer determined the two were having an argument about housing issues.  The argument did not become physical.

 

May 19

 

Illegal discharge of weapon – 4675 HPB

 

A woman told police that she saw a male with a high power rifle a half mile down the ravine behind the library.  She advised that she heard the male shoot the rifle a couple of times. Upon arrival a public works employee reported seeing the subject with a high power rifle and hiding behind some logs. Officers searched the area but the subject was not located.  Officers found a flattened area of grass where the subject had been lying.  Mukilteo schools were on lock-down during the incident.

 

 

Suspicious circumstances – 9800 50 Ave W

 

While on the previous call the officer witnessed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign.  The officer stopped the vehicle identified the driver, who was DWLS and had a car full of what appeared to be stolen items.  The male and his passenger both claimed that they had just purchased the TV from someone on Craig's List. The officer called a phone number and verified their story, then cited and released the male for DWLS. 

 

Disturbance/Warrant arrest – 5300 block HPB

 

Now that’s a temper tantrum!

 

Officers responded to a report of a male screaming and throwing items.  Upon arrival there were several broken items in the parking lot.  The officers contacted and identified a male, who turned out to have three outstanding warrants.  No other subjects were located in the apartment. The male was arrested and booked on a local DWLS warrant; the other warrants were non-extraditable. 

After being handcuffed the male became agitated and un-cooperative.  While searching the residence for keys to secure it several knives and a shotgun were located. The male’s wife was finally contacted and returned home to secure the residence.

 

Fight – 4675 HPB

 

Officers were dispatched to the Mukilteo Library for a report of two juveniles fighting with security on scene.  Officers were still on scene at press time.

 

Possible narcotics activity – 5300 block HPB

 

The complainant observed a white female associated with the above unit at the Hamptons possibly buy drugs from a male in a brown Impala.  The officers attempted to locate the Impala at the R/O’s address, but it was not there.  The officers also attempted contact at the above condominium, but there was no answer at the door. 

 

Suspicious – 12300 block HPB           

 

The officer responded to the above unit at the On the Green Apartments and spoke with a resident. He said that he found his slider partway open today and had a hookah pipe taken from his back porch a few days ago.  There was no sign of forced entry and he did not want to make a police report, but he did want an extra watch on the area. 

 

Possible Disturbance – 12300 HPB

 

Ever hear of, you know, canceling?

 

The officers responded an apartment for a 911 call from a cellular phone where arguing was heard in the background.  It is unknown where the call originated from, but SNOPAC intercepted it and traced the number to the above unit.  Upon arrival, officers found the unit to be dark and quiet and got no answer at the door.  Officers also attempted a call into the cellular phone, but got no answer there either. 

 

May 20

 

Check welfare – 4800 block 76 St SW

 

An officer responded regarding a request from a friend of the resident.  The friend had made arrangements to meet the resident there, and no one was answering the door. The officer contacted the resident's church and was told that the resident was in hospital.

 

Suspicious person – 11800 HPB

 

An officer checked the area for a male who had been walking around on the course and looking in tents for the prior 40 minutes. Officer contacted a male and warned him about trespassing.

 

Theft of drugs –

 

Officers responded to an apartment regarding a report that the complainant's son may have stolen her prescription Valium.  The child admitted to stealing $80 from his mother, to buy drugs with.  The case will be referred to the juvenile prosecutor.

 

Harassing phone calls – 4700 block 94 St SW

 

Two women complained about receiving numerous phone calls early in the morning from another woman.  Under investigation.

 

Res burg/theft 2 – 4400 block 93 Pl SW

 

Between 0800 and 1530 the rear slider was forced open and several items of small electronics and jewelry were stolen from the upstairs of the residence.  The burglar/s appear to have left through the front door, which the resident found unlocked. Under investigation.

 

 

Juvenile problem –                                   

 

A woman suspects that her son came into her house and ate some food and drank some vodka today. She did not want to pursue charges, but did want police to know that he is entering her house between 0830 and 1730 hours.  She also advised that he has a theft 3 warrant and is listed as a runaway. 

 

 

Suspicious vehicle – 4400 block 93rd Place SW                                   

 

The officers responded to a suspicious dark SUV parked occupied by two people at the above location.  The officers identified the occupants, who told police they stopped to talk and smoke and that their parents do not like them to smoke in front of their house and so they stopped there.

 

May 21

 

 

Agency assist                                   

 

An officer with Everett PD requested Mukilteo officers check the welfare of a subject.  She is a teacher at a school in Everett.  She became very upset and left the school threatening to harm herself.  She was not located.

 

Suspicious – 800 blk Washington Ave                       

 

R/P reported that at about 2200 hours the previous night she saw a VW van pull into her driveway and the driver turned the motor off.  When she looked out the front door, the van started up and drove off.  She did not get a license plate but wanted the police to be aware of the situation.

 

Juvenile problem – 4500 blk Harbour Pt Blvd                       

 

R/P reported that a neighbor’s kid threw a rock at her child.  The officers attempted to contact the suspect but no one answered the door.

 

Criminal trespass/mal. mis.-arrest – 2600 SR 525           

 

A moron convention in town                                   

 

Officers were dispatched to a silent alarm with multiple subjects heard inside.  Upon arrival, at least 2-3 subjects were seen fleeing on foot.  Three subjects were later apprehended in the woods with the assistance of Edmonds K-9.  A fourth subject was later located at his residence.  They all acknowledged running around on the roof of the portables and breaking off security lights from the outside of the portables.  It did not appear they had gained entry.  They were processed at the PD and released to parents.

 

May 22

 

Burglary – 10600 blk 47th Place West                       

 

R/P reported that sometime during the previous night someone entered the fenced skate park and attempted to force open the door to the skate equipment storage room.  Entry was not made.  They will check the video on Monday and report if anything is visible.

 

Public assist – 5000 blk 84th St SW                                    

 

R/P had questions about a verbal domestic earlier in the day.  She said that they are in the process of divorcing.  The officer supplied some DV related phone numbers and suggested that she contact and attorney.

 

Traffic collision – 10300 blk Kay Way                       

 

R/P reported that sometime during the previous night someone struck his vehicle.  There was red lens debris on the ground but no apparent paint transfer.

 

Runaway/voluntary committal                       

 

The R/P reported that her 15-year-old son ran away.  He suffers from a high-functioning form of autism and could potentially become violent.  The juvenile returned home a short time later, indicated he was suicidal and was transported to Stevens Hospital.

 

Public Assist – 1400 blk Goat Trail Lp. Rd.           

 

Must’ve been some party                                                           

 

R/P requested police assistance because he locked a pair of handcuffs on himself while at a party.  Officers determined that he had one handcuff attached to his wrist that was not compatible with our keys.  He advised he would see if the fire department would assist him in cutting it off.

 

Res. burg – 12300 blk H.P. Blvd.                                                                                    

 

R/P reported that a laptop computer equipped with a theft monitoring system and other misc. items were stolen from her apartment sometime this weekend.  The case is under investigation.

 

Welfare check – 13200 blk Bev. Park Rd.           

 

At least she left on foot                                                           

 

R/P requested an area check for his intoxicated girlfriend who left the location on foot.  Officers located the female and transported her home.

 

May 23

 

Parking complaint – 305 Lincoln Ave                       

 

The officer was dispatched to the above area for a parking complaint.  The RP said that the vehicle had been parked in violation of the 4-hour limit.  The vehicle was parked in an area without the posted restriction.

 

Assist to aid –           

 

R/P reported that her son was out of control, broke out a window and was threatening to hurt himself.  She said that he had a history of mental issues.  The officer found him sitting on the lawn with a large piece of glass in his hand.  He was taken into custody and transported by the aid unit for a mental health evaluation.
