April 19

 

Suspicious               5000 Blk 81st Place SW         

 

A neighbor reported seeing a female talking to four subjects in a van.  As the female was leaving, she put something in her pocket.  The neighbor thought it might be a drug deal.  Upon arrival, the van was gone and the female was not located.  The officers contacted two subjects in the parking lot.  They said that they were there to help a resident move out.

 

 

Suspicious               7000 Blk 45th Ave West    

 

Wise decision   

 

R/P reported that he received a call from someone in Quebec claiming to be his grandson.  The caller claimed to have been in an accident and needed money sent via Western Union.  R/P called his grandson and confirmed that he had not been in an accident.  No money was sent.

Agency assist               8000 Blk SR 525              

 

R/P requested a phone call in Edmonds because he wife was threatening to take their 3-year-old daughter out of state.  He said that his wife was at a location in Monroe.  He was referred to Monroe PD.

Suspicious - 3800 Blk South Rd.                                  

 

Easily entertained

 

Dayshift responded to a report of subjects in two pickup trucks honking at each other at the end of the street.  The subjects were friends and said they were bored.

Assist to Fire - 10300 Blk 66th Pl. W.                             

 

The officer was dispatched to assist with a residential house fire.  The fire was extinguished and no police assistance was needed.

One-vehicle collision - Goat Trail/Washington.                        

 

A subject suffering from a medical problem lost control of his vehicle and it went partially down a steep embankment.  The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

ID Theft - 13400 Blk 42nd Ave. W.                                  

 

R/P reported that her sister has used her identification when arrested for theft, when involved in a traffic collision and during other instances.  The case is under investigation.

 

April 20

 

Suspicious vehicle          5000 Blk Harbour Pt Blvd         

 

R/P reported that they thought they saw the blue sedan involved in a luring incident.  They said that the vehicle was located near their homes in unincorporated Snohomish County.  The officer located the residence and showed a picture of the car to the original victim and a witness.  They said that it was not the car involved.

Welfare check          12300 Blk Harbour Pt Blvd          

 

R/P requested officers check the welfare of a resident.  They said that his vehicle was in the parking lot but he has not been seen for over three weeks.  Management gave the officers access to the apartment but he was not there.

Assault 4¯ DV              

 

The officers responded to the above location for a domestic disturbance.  R/P reported that her husband had just left the location.  Officers later located and arrested the male, booked him on two counts of Assault 4¯ DV and served him with a temporary protection order.

Civil problem - 4500 Blk H.P. Blvd.                              

 

R/P reported the theft of her vehicle from the parking lot this evening.  It was determined the vehicle was repossessed.

 

April 21

 

Assault 4/mal mis 3  8000 Block SR-525

 

Officers responded to a report of a male hitting the windshield of a mini van stopped on the side of SR-525 across from the post office.  As officers arrived the occupants of the mini van were calling in that they were being attacked.  Officers determined that a juvenile male was in the van being transported from his group home on Gibson Rd, when he got angry and started assaulting the van driver and a younger boy in the front seat of the van. 

Because of the danger posed to the occupants of the van and other vehicles on the roadway, the juvenile male was sent for an involuntary mental health evaluation at hospital.  Charges were referred to Juvenile Court for assault and malicious mischief.

Non-report accident  8000 Block SR-525

 

Officers on above call witnessed a three-car rear end chain collision in southbound lane of SR-525.  There were no injuries and slight damage.  Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Animal problem  - Paine Field Blvd/SR-525

 

Animal control officer witnessed a large black lab running in traffic at the above location.  The officer and the dog owner were able to capture the frightened animal before any accident or injury occurred.

Traffic signal malfunction SR-525 / 5 St

 

Officers responded to the above intersection regarding a reported malfunction in the sequencing of the light.  The lights were staying green for ferry lane and southbound traffic, not cycling for 5 St. Officers attempted to coax the signals to go back to proper operation using the opticon.  State DOT was advised of the problem and responded a tech to check the system.

Suspicious Incident - 12300 blk Har Pt Blvd

 

Officers responded with the fire department to the location regarding a woman that an employee found unconscious, lying near a Dumpster. The woman came back to consciousness and left before officers arrived.  She told the employee that she had a heart condition and would contact her own doctor.

VUCSA - 11700 SR 525                        

 

The officers responded to two individuals in a blue Honda Civic snorting and injecting narcotics.  The officers located a male and female in the vehicle and observed drug paraphernalia on the floor.  The subjects agreed to a search of the vehicle, which revealed heroin, Suboxone, Seroquel and a large amount of drug paraphernalia. One subject also initially lied about his name because he had an outstanding warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.  The female was booked into the county jail for VUCSA and possession of drug paraphernalia because the drugs were found in her purse.  The male was booked for the warrant, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing.

Collision - 500 SR 525                        

 

A vehicle was traveling northbound in the through lane at the location.  Another vehicle was traveling northbound in the ferry-holding lane next to the first one.  The vehicle in front of the first one slowed quickly, causing the driver to swerve into the ferry-holding lane to avoid a rear-end collision, but sideswiped the vehicle in the ferry lane.  There were no injuries.

Residential burglary -    

 

R/P reported that her son likely broke into her house during the last two days.  Yesterday, he pried a door and stole $20.  Today, he broke a window, took $10 and 20 Xanax pills, case under investigation.

April 22

 

Neighbor problem - 4800 block Pointes Dr

 

A neighbor to the above address reported that the resident's son has a vehicle with extremely loud exhaust.  He asked for officers to watch for the vehicle leaving the location at 0630 to 0645 making enough noise to be heard for at least three blocks. The vehicle returns at about 4 p.m..  If the noise exceeds the legal limit, the reporting party would appreciate that the owner receive a warning and get a chance to fix the problem.

Civil - 10500 47 Pl W

 

Complainant received a call from the mother of one of his son's classmates, saying the son had beaten the woman's daughter up at school earlier in the week.  The complainant called the school which said nothing like that happened.  He wanted to know what to do.  He was told to rely on the schools determination.

Patrol information - 6400 block Birkdale Court

 

A man came in to the police station to report that he and his family had been threatened by a client he represented in a legal action.  The threats were reported in King County where they occurred.  He lives at the above address here in Mukilteo.  He requests extra patrols and for Officers to be aware of the situation in case there is a problem and they need to call 911.

Disturbance - 11700 block Cyrus Way    

 

It's better to give than receive#              

 

The officers responded to a business for a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officers spoke with the owner and another individual, and determined that the second man stopped to let his dog mess on Kings property. The business owner became upset and wanted to know what the man's address was so he could let his dog go on that property.  The officers warned both parties.

Suspicious - 600 Front Street                   

 

A woman told an officer that her car had been stolen from where she parked it in the Lighthouse Park.  The officer located the woman's vehicle a short distance away parked in front of a nearby business, and it did not appear to have been stolen.  The woman agreed that she likely forgot where she parked it.

Residential burglary -              

 

A woman reported that her house was burglarized between 0845 and 1900 hours that day.  She is missing some prescription drugs, a video camera and about $5 in cash.  She suspects her son whom she signed over to Cocoon house and he has run away from there.  He also has an outstanding theft warrant.  According to the report, the woman's house is being burglarized on an almost daily basis, and she requests an extra watch. 

 

April 23

 

Animal complaint          4800 Blk 103rd Pl SW         

 

While on patrol, the officer located a loose dog running along Harbour Pt Blvd.  It was returned home and the owner was issued a warning.  He had been unaware of the hole in the fence.

 

 

Civil                    4500 Blk 107th St SW

 

It runs in the family         

 

R/P said that the son of an employee left a message swearing at him.  R/P said that the employee is about to be fired.  There were no threats made.  The officer offered to call the son but the R/P declined.  He said that he would call back if there were any further problems.

 

 

Area check-DUI/warrant arrest - 84th/SR 525

 

Sober, yes - clean, no                   

 

The officer was dispatched to an area check for two possible DUI's in a white Chevy and a white limousine.  Both drivers were sober but it was determined that one of the drivers had two misdemeanor warrants for DWLS.  He was arrested and booked into the Sno. County Jail.

 

April 24

 

Malicious mischief          8900 Blk 46th Pl West         

 

R/P reported that the glass on the rear slider was shattered and a light over the garage was broken at the above house.  She said the house is a bank repo and is vacant.  It did not appear that anyone had made entry into the house.  A message was left for the real estate agent handling the property.

 

 

Traffic hazard          11700 Blk SR 525         

 

Clean up needed, southbound lane!   

 

The officer responded to the above area for a report that teens associated with a car wash were running into the roadway to attract business.  The officer found a responsible adult to handle the situation.

 


Vehicle recovery          5300 Blk Harbour Pt Blvd     

 

R/P reported that a blue Dodge had been parked in her parking space for the past few days.  The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Lake Stevens April 20.  The owner responded and retrieved his car.  It was removed from stolen status.

 

 

DUI                    1000 Blk Loveland Ave         

 

R/P reported that an old co-worker of his late father stopped by the house.  He said the male was intoxicated and driving a blue pickup truck.  He was not located.

 

 

Assault 4¯ DV          10500 47th Place West    

 

The officers responded to the PD for a disturbance between a mother and daughter.  The officers determined that the daughter had assaulted her mother.  She was booked into Snohomish County Jail.

 

 

Audible res. alarm x3 - 11300 Blk 58th Ave. W.                        

 

The officer responded to an alarm at the residence.  A dog inside the home activated the alarm multiple times.  The homeowner arrived while the officer was on scene and turned off the alarm.

 

April 25

 

Public assist               800 Block SR 525    

 

Good idea!     

 

Everett PD advised of a possible DUI heading westbound on Mukilteo Blvd.  The vehicle was located and stopped.  The driver was not intoxicated but was having trouble seeing due to cataracts.  He agreed to have a friend come drive him home.

Suspicious               13000 Block 43rd Ave W    

 

The officers responded to the above area for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the end of the cul-de-sac.  The officers contacted three males who said that they were just hanging out having a smoke.  They agreed to leave.

 

 

Assault 4 DV - 9500 Blk 49th Ave. W                              

 

The disturbance that dayshift officers responded to was determined to have been a DV Assault.  A male was arrested for punching his girlfriend in the face, then booked into Snohomish County Jail.

 

 

Collision - 2nd/SR 525                                     

 

The officer was dispatched to a report of a non-injury collision blocking the ferry-holding lane.  Vehicle No. 1 failed to yield to Vehicle No. 2 while turning.

 

 

Patrol info - Puget Sound                                     

 

The Coast Guard wanted Edmonds PD and Mukilteo PD made aware of a report of a 21-foot yellow speedboat traveling north from Alki at a high rate of speed.  There were reports of gunshots coming from the boat.  Officers did not see the boat.

 

 

Malicious mischief - 600 Blk Front St.
