I had the privilege of helping craft the pro statement
for the voter’s pamphlet on the upcoming EMS Levy for Mukilteo. Unfortunately,
the voter’s pamphlet is not being mailed and is only accessible online. Please
print the message for those without the benefit of a computer.
I agreed to write the statement because my family has
had to use emergency medical services numerous times in the past year, and I
know how important it is. The personnel that have responded to our aid have
always been quick, efficient and caring.
The last time a family member was in the emergency
room, one of the Mukilteo EMTs stopped back many hours later to check the
status of the patient. I don’t think that happens in larger cities, and I
really appreciated the concern shown by our professionally trained technicians.
While I hope other families don’t need to use the
emergency medical services, I encourage them to vote "Yes" to support
this levy and be assured that if they do need it, they’ll receive excellent
care!
