Lions pancake breakfasts are $5.
Start festival Saturday off right with a hearty pancake breakfast served by the Lions Club of Mukilteo.
Fuel up with pancakes, ham, juice, coffee and milk from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 11 at Point of Light Church, located at 5425 Harbor Point Blvd. in Mukilteo.
The breakfast is $5, but children under 6 eat free with a paying adult.
The club will be honoring Mukilteo's 2010 Pioneer of the Year, Jo-An Chandler Cannon, at 9 a.m.
The Mukilteo Lions have served the local community since 1968, said Paul Lukzyk, chair of the pancake breakfast. The Lions provide food baskets to families in need during the Holidays, sight and hearing testing, donations to local Boy Scouts and scholarships to ACES High School.
.The Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce office.
