200 volunteer in honor of MLK
Snow did not stop more than 200 volunteers in Snohomish County from honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. with a day on and not a day off. On Jan. 28, about 180 teenagers and 40 adults volunteered in teams of 3-5 to help the elderly and disabled across the county with household and yard chores for an MLK Day of Service.
Fighter pilots of yesteryear to bring flying stories to life

Isabella Summitt, 18, recently donated 10 inches of her hair to the non-profit Locks of Love, which provides hairpieces to sick children whose families cannot afford them.
Little League registration rescheduled due to snow
Mukilteo Little League is holding an additional in-person registration event Thursday, Jan. 26, from 5-8p.m. at the Mukilteo Water District Main Office located at 7824 Mukilteo Speedway. Staff will be there to accept registration paperwork and answer questions.

Mormon church grand opening is 'a rebirth'
There was an overwhelming sense of gratitude by the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when they returned to Mukilteo last weekend to worship together in their newly reconstructed church. A grand opening of the Mormon church, at 11001 Harbour Pointe Blvd., is set for Saturday, Jan. 21.
Boeing donates to Providence’s new pediatric unit
Providence General Foundation recently received a $36,430 grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound to purchase sleeper/daybeds for each patient’s room in the newly remodeled Pediatric inpatient unit at Providence Regional Medical Center’s Colby Campus.
