Bel Red Energy Solutions has been selected as one of 12 contractors in the United States to represent the residential heating and air conditioning industry on Honeywell’s 2010 Residential Contractor Council.

This council provides input to Honeywell, the largest manufacturer of comfort controls and thermostats in the United States, on new products, industry trends, and technical issues.

“Only the best residential dealers are even considered for this honor, and I’m thrilled to be selected to help move our industry forward through my involvement with this council,” owner Don Millard said.

“There are an enormous number of changes occurring in our industry right now with Federal and State governments driving energy efficiency, and the rapid development of smart-grid technology,” he said. “This is not just fire-in-a-box anymore, and Honeywell is working in the middle of all of these developments. I’m looking forward to providing them with the outside viewpoint they need to make these technological changes accessible to consumers.”
