If you’re staying in one of the
nicely appointed rooms at Staybridge Suites in Mukilteo, and you feel like
you’re home, then the designers of the newly opened hotel will know they’ve
done their job.
Locals watched with anticipation
over the past several months as construction crews built the 134-room hotel.
And the owners, Mukilteo Hotel,
LLC, a division of the 360 Hotel Group, hope local clientele will take a tour.
Although it’s designed to serve
businesspeople and others who need long-term lodging, Staybridge is also
intended for short stays – when family or friends come to visit, that wedding
party, the reunion, or simply a weekend away without the long drive.
For guests who plan long stays, Staybridge
aims to make them feel like they’re home, says Sharon Danitschek, vice
president of Sales & Marketing.
The one- and two-bedroom suites
come nicely appointed, including a well-stocked kitchen, flat screen TVs in the
front room and bedrooms, safes large enough to store a laptop, even a laundry
basket.
There’s a clever key-card holder by
the front door that controls the room’s electrical power so that lights aren’t
left on when guests grab the key-card on their way out the door.
Long-term guests who have to leave
briefly for a trip back to the home office can utilize storage closets, located
on every floor, to leave behind the luggage or supplies.
Room rates include a buffet
breakfast on the main floor where the large dining room’s design encourages
guests to socialize, but also boasts small flat screen TVs at some tables when
diners prefer solitude.
Or, if guests prefer to eat in
their room, a small store in the hotel, the Bridge Mart, sells easy-to-prepare
meals, beverages and other items.
The laundry room, adjacent to the
fitness room, is free. “You don’t pay to do your laundry at home,” Danitschek
says. “Why should you have to here?”
Both the laundry and fitness rooms
are large, with plenty of machines for your clothes or your workout.
During the afternoons from Monday
to Thursday, Staybridge will feature a “Sundowners Reception” for guests, with
free beer, wine and sodas, along with hors d’oeuvres.
On “Mukilteo Mondays” Staybridge
will partner with local restaurants, like Amici Bistro, that will give guests
an opportunity to sample the local fare.
The media room features a giant
flat screen TV and about a dozen large easy chairs where guests can congregate
for a movie, sports event or other entertainment.
There’s a five-hole putting green,
indoor swimming pool and whirlpool, a patio with gas barbecue, and underground
parking.
Located at 9600 Harbour Place,
Staybridge is adjacent to the Big Gulch trail, a short walk from 92nd Street
Park to the north and the Mukilteo Library to the south.
Guests needing to travel a little
farther can take advantage of the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service.
Staybridge also has a boardroom and
meeting rooms that are available to the community at nominal rates as well as
its guests.
Staybridge intends to be an active
partner in Mukilteo.
“We are extremely excited to be
part of the Mukilteo community,” says Shaiza Damji, the Managing Director of
the 360 Hotel Group.
“From the beginning, we have been
welcomed by the City and our residential and business neighbors. This
year we were able to support the YMCA Golf Tournament at Harbour Pointe as well
as the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival, and we wish to continue this involvement
in the years ahead.
“Our hotel amenities are ideal not
only for those guests visiting from across the country or across the globe, but
also for neighbors wanting a weekend getaway.”
“We think it’s a good match,”
Danitschek says. “We really like the community spirit here and want to be part
of it.
“We invite you to come stay at our
house and play in our backyard.”
You’ll feel like
you’re home.
